NATIONAL DIABETES WEEK- Living out Loud 💙
This National Diabetes Week, we’re proud to support the Living Out Loud campaign, which invites people living with diabetes to share the one thing they wish everyone knew.
Today, we’re sharing the words of someone very special to me and many other people…. Jaymee, who was diagnosed last year with Type 1 Diabetes at just 21 years of age.
“ I forgot how bad it can actually impact your health if not maintained properly and honestly, I do not think I will ever get over the diagnosis because sometimes it’s like “ yeah I have T1DM “ then sometimes I think “ Holy Heck, I have to jab myself for the rest of my life and there’s no cure!”
Jaymee’s words are a powerful reminder that diabetes is so much more than checking blood sugar levels or taking insulin. It is a life long condition that affects both physical and emotional wellbeing, and some days are harder than others.
To everyone living with diabetes: we see you, we support you, and we encourage you to reach out when you need help. There is strength in asking for support, and you do not have to face it on your own.
If you’d like support with managing your diabetes, our team is here to help. Contact the clinic to book an appointment and take the next step in your diabetes care. Ph, ( 03) 56232251.
