We have new availability opening up and are welcoming referrals for therapy and assessment. If your young person could benefit from gentle, evidence‑based support, we’re here and ready to help.

A little update from Candid Psychology…

As many of you know, Madison's books are almost full; however, she currently has limited capacity for new therapeutic referrals for Thursday sessions!

But here’s the exciting part...
Something very special is happening in June!

We have a new provisional psychologist joining the team — someone who is deeply passionate about supporting young people and weaving together cognitive behaviour therapy, mindfulness, and other evidence‑based modalities to create truly tailored, compassionate care.

She’ll be offering appointments on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, opening up beautiful new opportunities for families who’ve been waiting for the right fit.

More details (and a proper introduction) are coming soon.
For now, consider this your little hint that brighter things are on the way!

If you have any of the requested size 12/14 ladies clothing items listed in the post, donations can be dropped at Once Worn in Yarragon.

If getting to Yarragon is difficult, you're also welcome to drop items at my clinic and I can take them down for you.

Every little bit of support makes a difference for families in our community. 🧡

Meet Haven and her gorgeous Mum, Jeanette.

Haven is almost 14.
She is diagnosed with Level 3 Autism, ADHD, Epilepsy, a learning delay, a speech delay, and has aggressive behaviour.
She attends Special School.

Haven destroys her clothes. She picks apart the seams... tears off the cuffs, necks, and bottom bands. She pokes holes in everything and rips them to pieces. She tears them off completely.

There was a record breaking day recently:

9 t-shirts
4 pairs of shorts
4 pairs of underwear
3 crop tops.
1 pair of PJ's

All in 6 HOURS

A word from Jeanette (posted with her permission):

"Do the math. NDIS consider this parental responsibility. I get that, and I know how much it SHOULD cost.

But her disability is the cause, so its different right? No it's not.

Even if these items cost $2 each (which they do not) thats $42 a day. $294 a week. On top of medication. On top of stress. On top of injuries. On top of working full time. On top of another child who basically misses out. On top of life.

That's our reality, it doesn't get better with out help. She doesn't get better - this is it"

PLEASE HELP ME HELP THIS FAMILY 😟

I am on the hunt for the following:

SIZE 12/14 LADIES:

👖 Tracksuit Pants
👕 TShirts
🩳 Shorts (elastic waist)
💤 Pajamas (not button up)
👙 Crop Tops (like a bra)

In this instance, BRANDS DO NOT MATTER! Please go through your wardrobe, and if you can spare any items listed, I'd be so grateful.

Please DROP OFF to our Store between

I must ask that it be the requested items ONLY. I don't have the storage space for any additions, and with all due respect, we're not an Op Shop.

If NDIS won't help, I know our amazing Community will. It takes a tribe afterall 🫶

The more people this post reaches, the more help we can provide.

Not only do they need clothing for home, but the School does too x

🎄Christmas Closure🎄
As we begin to wrap up 2025, I want to say a huge thank you to all the incredible children and families I’ve had the privilege of supporting this year.

The clinic will be closed from Friday December 19th 2025 and will reopen on Monday 12th January 2026 as we take a little break to rest and recharge.

Wishing all families a magical Christmas filled with connection, laughter and calm moments between the chaos.

Here’s to a bright and thriving 2026! ✨
