Did you know that our chapel has a unique piece of local history? 🍟✨

Before it became a place where families come together to honour and remember their loved ones, the site was once home to Australia’s very first drive-thru McDonald's which opened in 1978.

While the building has since been thoughtfully transformed into our comforting chapel space, there’s still a small nod to its past.

The original McDonald’s sign remains on the property to this day. It’s a little reminder of how places can evolve over time, serving the community in different ways across generations.

Today, Australians pause together on the National Day of Mourning to remember the lives lost and to acknowledge all those affected by the Bondi Beach terrorist attack.

Members of the public are invited to observe a minute’s silence at 7.01pm AEDT and to place a lit candle in a window or on a doorstep, honouring the Jewish community and remembering those whose lives were taken.

🌺 Remembrance Day 🌺

Today, we remember and pay tribute to all those who have served our country with courage, dedication, and selflessness.

At the 11th hour, on the 11th day, of the 11th month, we pause to remember the men and women who gave their lives for our freedom, and we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all veterans for their service and dedication.

As we come together in reflection, we also acknowledge the families who carried the weight of their loved ones’ service and the generations who continue to uphold their legacy.

At 11am, we stand together in silence to remember, reflect, and give thanks.
