We are looking for compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Workers to join our growing team and make a positive difference in the lives of people living with disability.
About the Role
As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide individualised support to NDIS participants in their homes and within the community. You will assist participants to achieve their goals, build independence, develop life skills, and engage in activities that enhance their wellbeing and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide person-centred support in accordance with participant goals and support plans.
• Assist with personal care, daily living activities, and household tasks.
• Support participants with community access, recreational activities, and appointments.
• Encourage independence, choice, and social inclusion.
• Complete accurate shift notes and required documentation.
• Administer medication where required and trained to do so.
• Follow all organisational policies, procedures, and NDIS Practice Standards.
• Maintain professional and respectful relationships with participants, families, and colleagues.
Essential Requirements
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willingness to obtain).
• Current Queensland Blue Card (or willingness to obtain).
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
• Current Australian Driver Licence.
• Reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
• Smart phone and ability to use mobile applications for documentation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Right to work in Australia.
Desirable
• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services, or a related field.
• Previous experience working within the disability sector.
• Experience supporting participants with complex support needs.
