Have you ever asked ChatGPT to interpret your blood test results? πŸ‘€

If so, you're definitely not alone. But it's important to know that the reference ranges on your blood tests aren't fixed.

They can shift depending on your age, s*x, medications and even where you are in your cycle - readings for AMH, FSH and progesterone in particular can mean something different depending on cycle day.

That means AI is reading your numbers without any context, so it's only ever getting half the story.

Don't just take our word for it...

A recent hands-on test of AI models interpreting real blood test cases scored them 1 to 3 out of 10 and in one case, every single AI model missed a deliberate testing error that any human specialist would have caught immediately.

We're all for understanding your own health, however it's important to remember that AI is best used as a starting point only.

If you're at the stage where you're trying to figure out what the numbers mean for your fertility, that's exactly what we do.

Taina came to us with menstrual pain, hormone imbalance and low energy 🌸

Three things that can seem entirely unrelated, except they weren't.

Conditions that look separate on the surface often turn out to be connected on closer investigation and it's the reason we don't treat symptoms in isolation.

We zoom out and look at how your systems work together - and for Taina, that meant less pain, better hormonal balance and a real shift in how she experiences her whole cycle.

Your health journey is unique - it's crucial that you build a plan around yours 🌿

Low iron could be quietly zapping your energy while also sabotaging your thyroid🩸⚑️

Your thyroid depends on iron to make hormones and convert T4 into T3, which is the active form your body actually uses. And if you have an autoimmune component like Hashimoto's, low iron can make your inflammation and symptoms worse.

So if you've been noticing things like unexplained weight changes, hair shedding or sluggish digestion, it's worth checking your iron levels, as well as your thyroid panel.

Your body doesn't work in silos 🧬

πŸ“Œ Save this for your next lab appointment

Not every symptom means what you think it means πŸ€”

A headache isn't always dehydration. Fatigue isn't always low iron. Hormone symptoms aren't always "just hormones."

Symptoms can overlap across dozens of conditions, which is one of the biggest reasons people stay stuck - not from lack of effort but from treating the wrong problem.

Head Practitioner, Elizabeth Mucci, puts it simply: "Good healthcare isn't about finding a diagnosis. It's about finding the right diagnosis."

That's why we rarely accept the first explanation. Instead, we ask:
∿ What else could explain this?
∿ What have we assumed without checking?
∿ What's already been ruled out?
∿ Where are the pieces not fitting?

And if it's outside what we treat, we'll help you find the right specialist.

If you've been chasing answers for months, or even years, when it comes to your health, you're not alone. So many conditions share the same symptoms, which is exactly why they get missed.

πŸ’¬ Have you ever been told "everything looks normal" but knew something still wasn't right? If that's where you are right now, comment "READY" and we'll walk you through what a first visit with us actually looks like.

πŸ’€ You've had enough sleep but you're still tired.

Your hair's thinning. You've gained weight without changing anything. Your brain feels like it's wading through fog. And you're freezing all the time.

You bring it up. Your doctor runs bloodwork.

A week later: "Everything's normal.", leaving you wondering if it's all in your head.

It's not - the test just wasn't built to find it.

If this is something you've experience, here are some questions that can be helpful to ask:

~ Have my thyroid function and antibodies been thoroughly investigated?
~ Has my iron been properly checked?
~ Could this be perimenopause?
~ Could there be something we've overlooked?

Your cycle tracker knows a lot πŸš€

But it doesn't know everything.

The 'femtech' industry is designed to empower women to take control of their hormonal and fertility health - we love that πŸ‘πŸ»

... but like anything, more information doesn't always mean better.

And when it comes to hormonal and reproductive health, it can be complicated enough without half-baked advice muddying the waters.

So before you drop $100 on the latest ovulation tracker, here's some things to be aware of πŸ‘‰πŸΌ

p.s. if you're not sure where to start, comment 'TRACKER' below and we'll send you a free copy of the monthly tracker we use for our clients.

Somewhere along the way, beetroot became the internet's "hormone-balancing" super food.

Except...that's not actually what it's doing πŸ€”

Beetroot doesn't balance hormones directly. Instead, it supports two systems your hormones rely on every single day.

Think of beetroot like premium fuel - it's not the engine and it won't magically repair the engine.

βœ… But it can help the engine run more efficiently.

Rich in nitrates, folate and antioxidants, beetroot supports healthy blood flow and liver function, two processes your body relies on to transport, process and clear hormones effectively.

So yes, enjoy the beetroot! Just don't expect one food to do the job of an entire hormonal ecosystem.

What's one "superfood" you've heard hyped that you'd like us to unpack next?

Winter might not be the only reason you're feeling so cold and tired πŸ₯Ά πŸ’€

But it's pretty good at hiding the real problem.

Low iron, low iodine and an underactive thyroid can all show up as classic 'cold-weather' symptoms like cold hands and feet, brain fog, needing an extra coffee just to function and wanting to nap by 3pm.

Plus it's easy to become more aware of these types of symptoms in winter, as darker days shift melatonin and serotonin, leading to genuine dips in mood.

But typically when it comes to "winter tiredness", once you warm up and rest it lifts.

An underactive thyroid, or iron or iodine-driven fatigue, on the other hand, doesn't.

And when blood tests come back "normal", things might be getting cast aside year after year when what's really needed is deeper investigation.

Feeling bone-tired every single winter isn't normal. If this sounds like you, it could be time to take a closer look at what's really going on πŸ’›

The hidden cost of infertility that nobody puts in their EOFY spreadsheet πŸ’Έ

It's that time of year when everyone's tallying receipts and reconciling accounts.

But there's a cost that never makes it onto a spreadsheet.

It lives in the 3am searches.

The bathroom floor moments.

The pregnancy announcements you smile through while something quietly breaks inside you.

The way you've learned to hold hope loosely because you know what it feels like when it slips.

It's the years of tracking.

The appointments that rearrange your whole week.

The tests that give you numbers but not answers.

The hope you rebuild, again and again, from scratch.

It's the emotional labour of showing up to baby showers and office conversations and family dinners and fielding the comments from people who love you but still say things like: "Are you sure you're doing it at the right time of the month?".

And it's the cost of not knowing.

That uncertainty, the not knowing why, the not knowing if, is often the most expensive thing of all.

Not in dollars. In you.

πŸ’š But here's what we do know:

The sooner you understand your hormones, your cycle and your fertility markers, the more options you have.

Not just medically but emotionally too.

Because knowledge gives you somewhere to stand when everything else feels uncertain.
