Did you know Variety club Nsw ACT offer $2000 grants to use for therapy for children aged 0-18
These grants help children access much needed therapy (speech therapy, occupational therapy etc) when they don’t qualify for other funding supports such as NDIS

We spent 2 hours at and Retro cafe today checking out the dinosaur themed activities and exhibition
From finding fossils in sand, a drawing scavenger hunt and fun dinosaur block building

More children can now access Speech therapy services and receive Medicare rebates 👏

As of 1st March 2026

Children and young people under 25 with

◽️ speech sound difficulties including CAS
◽️ stuttering
◽️ cleft lip/ palate

Can now access
◽️ 8 assessment sessions
◽️ 20 therapy sessions
(Across the lifespan)

GP referral is still required

What this means
Therapy is more affordable for families who don’t meet other funding criteria
More children can access early intervention support meaning better outcomes and less need for therapy in the future
