Hi, my name is Melanie, I am a remedial massage therapist, focusing on pregnancy massage. Pregnancy massage is like a regular massage, but focuses on positioning, supporting mum and bub physically, and uses specific techniques, targeted at relieving the aches and pains
of pregnancy. I am passionate about helping women feel the best that they can during pregnancy so that they might be ready to birth with confidence. I have been a qualified massage therapist since 2000, but have had breaks to pursue my own pregnancies, which is where I developed my passion for what it is we go through as women to become mothers. I have birthed 4 children, my own 2 at ages 27 and then 32, and then again as a surrogate for close friends at ages 46 and 48. Massage helped my body feel ready to birth. I have recently redone my training so as to be recognised by health funds, so YES, you can claim pregnancy massage on your health fund.
