💚✨ ANOTHER FUN-FILLED WEEK AT CUMBERLAND VIEW! ✨💚
What a busy week we’ve had, filled with music, friendship, laughter and plenty of wonderful moments! 🥰
🎂 We celebrated resident birthdays, enjoyed cuddles with Milo our Therapy Dog 🐾 and a big thank you to Luke from for bringing him along.
🚌🌊 We rugged up for a Scenic Bus Drive to the beach, enjoying the peaceful views and gentle ripples across the water from the warmth of the bus.
🎤 We welcomed back the lovely Alicia O’Brien for a fantastic performance, while Boruch our Wandering Minstrel brought music and smiles directly to residents in their rooms, and Jack the Music Man had the residents singing and clapping along to familiar tunes. 🎶
💅 There was plenty of pampering at Spa Day, 🧠 hands and minds were kept active with fun activities, and we even practised our golf putting! ⛳
🎸 Music Corner with Eric (LSA) continues to be a weekly favourite, and our Carter residents got busy in the kitchen making a scrumptious cheesecake slice! 🍰👩‍🍳
🏡 We also warmly welcomed new residents and their families to our Cumberland View community. 💚
Another wonderful week of staying active, connected and having fun together! 🌟😊

🎄✨ Here at Cumberland View, we kept both our minds and bodies active while enjoying a wonderful few weeks filled with laughter, friendship and fun. We celebrated Christmas in July with a traditional festive lunch prepared by our amazing kitchen team 🍽️, featuring turkey, ham, salmon and delicious Christmas pudding, followed by fantastic Christmas entertainment from Freddy G 🎤🎶. Residents also enjoyed celebrating birthdays 🎂, singing along with Steph Renouf and Alex Matthews and making the most of the winter sunshine ☀️ with a lovely stroll outdoors.

🍭 For Lollipop Day, everyone had fun guessing how many Chupa Chups were in the jar, sparking plenty of smiles and friendly competition. We also welcomed new friends into our Cumberland View family, and to finish the month off our lovely High Tea with lots of yummy treats ❤️ We have shared many special moments, laughs and memories to treasure throughout these winter months. 🥰✨🎉

🎉 Another Wonderful Week at Cumberland View Aged Care! 🇫🇷🎶🏉🐹🎄

What a fantastic week we've shared together!

We celebrated Bastille Day by wishing our lovely Geneviève a very Happy Bastille Day while our wonderful kitchen team treated everyone to a delicious French-inspired buffet lunch.

We also acknowledged Guinea Pig Day, transforming the Concert Area into a fun guinea pig-themed space! Residents enjoyed watching adorable guinea pig videos on the big screen, relaxing at our guinea pig activity table with adult colouring, learning some interesting facts about these lovable little animals, and best of all, meeting our special furry visitors, Wendell and Maggie, who brought plenty of smiles to everyone's faces. 🐹💕

Residents enjoyed a fascinating Steel Drum session with LSC Janine, listening to the unique sounds of the instrument while learning about its history and how it is played.

With Christmas in July just around the corner, there was plenty of festive spirit as residents helped sort Christmas baubles and decorations in preparation for Friday's celebrations. 🎄✨

Our creative side shone through as we tried our hand at Zentangle Art with LSA Jane, creating beautiful patterns while enjoying the calming and mindful benefits of this relaxing activity.

Our Footy Tipping competition continues to be a huge success, with over 40 residents taking part this season as we eagerly submitted this week's tips. 🏉

We kept active and warm with Chris leading a relaxing Seated Tai Chi session, a wonderful way to exercise both the body and the mind.

There were smiles all around as we celebrated our residents' birthdays, including a very special milestone of 85 years young! 🎂🎈

Our Men's Group was filled with laughter, stories, and plenty of encouragement, while another group enjoyed a lovely outing for some window shopping and coffee together. ☕🛍️

Music brought everyone together once again as we sang along with the talented Laurel McKenna on Monday, and we wrapped up the week in style with our ever-popular Happy Hour, featuring the wonderful Alex Matthews. 🎶

Another week filled with friendship, fun, creativity, learning, music, laughter, and meaningful moments. Thank you to our wonderful residents, families, staff and volunteers for making Cumberland View such a vibrant and caring community. ❤️

🌟 Another Wonderful Week at Cumberland View Aged Care! 🌟
What a fantastic week we've shared together, filled with smiles, music, friendship and plenty of special moments!
🧸 We celebrated Teddy Bears' Picnic Day, with residents proudly bringing along treasured teddy bears and dolls from their childhood. Our wonderful kitchen team prepared a delicious picnic feast, and there were smiles all around. We were even joined by our Facility Manager, Joe, and our Head Chef, Sumith, who helped make the celebration extra special.
🍻 Our Men's Group enjoyed another great afternoon of laughter, stories, friendship and a few cheers together.
🚌 Residents wrapped up warm for a scenic bus outing, watching the winter sun glisten across the water while enjoying drinks, ice creams and wonderful company from the comfort of the bus.
🖤💛❤️ We proudly celebrated NAIDOC Week with a special entertainment session featuring the beautiful sounds of the didgeridoo, alongside many well-loved Australian classics that had everyone singing along.
🐾 There were plenty of cuddles and wagging tails as Therapy Dog Winnie made her much-loved visit, bringing comfort, smiles and happiness to everyone she met.
🎶 Our second Music Corner session was a huge success, with residents enjoying ukulele, guitar and piano performances while singing along to favourite tunes together.
💃 We were delighted to welcome back the Fabulous Golden Girls, whose wonderful performance had everyone swaying, clapping and singing along.
🎤 Jack the Music Man entertained our Carter residents with another lively performance full of familiar songs and smiles.
☀️ When the winter sunshine appeared, our Carter residents made the most of it by spending time in the gardens, enjoying the fresh air and soaking up the sunshine.
🎈 Throughout the week we also kept active with gentle exercise sessions, balloon games and sensory activities, encouraging movement, laughter and meaningful engagement.
Thank you to our amazing residents, families, volunteers, entertainers and dedicated staff who continue to make Cumberland View such a warm, caring and vibrant community. ❤️

🚀🧁☕👽 From Cupcakes to UFOs – What a Week We've Had at Cumberland View! 🎉🎈
This week our residents enjoyed baking delicious gluten-free cupcakes with Cooking in Carter, a new activity "Music Corner" where residents got to share their musical talents and have a sing alongheading out for coffee, chats and a little window shopping, friendly games of Bingo in Madeline, another fantastic Thursday Men's Group, celebrating International UFO Day with out-of-this-world decorations and afternoon tea, lovely soulful harp playing and sing along with Susan G, and of course, making our birthday residents feel extra special with balloons, cards and lots of birthday wishes. Thank you to everyone who helped make another week full of laughter, friendship and wonderful memories.

Residents at Cumberland View Aged Care sang and danced along to John B, Doug De Rose, Steph Renouf and Baruch. We loved our time with friends and family at our high tea, scenic bus ride, movement to music with Eliza and a visit from “Gelu”🐕 our four pawed friend 🐾 Please enjoy our photos ❤️

Cumberland view residents have had an excellent week with entertainment from the sensational Skylarkers and a very happy hour with Alex Matthews. Come and join in our carpet bowls, knitting, craft class, book club, daily walks and exercise classes too. What to do next? So many choices.

Cumberland View Aged Care residents have had a week of fun. We sang along with Laurel McKenna- a great way to start the week. Our Kitchen held our monthly cultural cuisine 🇮🇹 a wonderful array of Italian dishes. We acknowledge “Cheese” day with a delicious selection of cheeses too🧀 Our coffee ☕️ bus trip to Stud Park included donuts 🍩
A big thanks to Margie Dennis for our happy hour concert 🎵 🎤 ⭐️ Happy Birthday King Charles 🤴

We had a superb week last week with concerts galore. A big thanks to🎵 Steph Renouf, Lorenzo and Tom Diaco for all the music 🎵 We enjoyed a coffee bus trip to Mulgrave country club ☕️ We welcomed our newest friends with a special afternoon tea. In craft we made pretty Triskele balls. Enjoy the photos.
