🧱✨ Building Connections After School! ✨🧱

Our weekly Building Connections Group is a fun and engaging after-school program where students develop social skills through shared interests and creative building activities.

Using materials such as LEGO®, Magna-Tiles®, Gravitrax®, and other construction resources, participants work together to practise:
✅ Communication skills
✅ Teamwork and collaboration
✅ Turn-taking and flexibility
✅ Problem-solving
✅ Building friendships and confidence

By connecting through activities they love, students are supported to strengthen meaningful social connections in a relaxed and enjoyable environment.

📣 We are currently finalising our Term 4 groups, and places are limited. If you'd like your child to be involved, please reach out as soon as possible to secure a spot.

🐛➡️🦋 We have been learning all about life cycles in our Kindergarten Concepts Group!

As we explore how living things grow and change, our little learners are developing important sequencing skills by putting each stage in the correct order. Understanding what happens first, next, and last creates a strong foundation for early school success.

These sequencing skills will help children when: 📚 Retelling and understanding stories. 🔢 Learning early math concepts like patterns, counting sequences, and step-by-step problem solving.

It's amazing to see how a simple life cycle can support so many future learning skills while keeping our students engaged and curious about the world around them! 🌱💚

Today, our Kindergarten Concepts group kiddos had a fantastic time exploring science with a colourful Skittles experiment!

Together, we carefully followed instructions and worked as a team to place the Skittles in a circle. We watched closely as the colours began to spread and confidently shared our observations with the group.

Along the way, we talked about colours and patterns, made predictions about what we thought might happen, and discussed the results. To extend our learning, we sequenced the experiment by cutting and pasting the events in order.

We even practised our self control by not eating any of the skittles!

This hands-on activity encouraged teamwork, communication, critical thinking, and early scientific inquiry skills... all while having lots of fun! 🌟

Beware... the villains have arrived! 👀🦹

Our early primary narrative group has been busy crafting stories and stretching their imaginations through powerful descriptive language. From sinister smiles and piercing eyes to shadowy figures lurking in the darkness, the children have been learning how carefully chosen words help bring characters to life.

It's wonderful to see our young writers developing confidence, creativity, and rich vocabulary as they create captivating stories. 🌟

🚀✨ Our Vibrant Vocabulary After School Group recently explored the fascinating topic of space!

Our kiddos were eager to share their knowledge, special interests and ideas, creating meaningful conversations and opportunities to build vocabulary in a fun and engaging way.

Through space-themed barrier games, collaborative activities, and star projections that inspired awe and wonder, we created moments of connection, curiosity, and discussion. 🌟🌌

It's always amazing to see how shared interests can spark communication, confidence, and learning!

🎉 School Holiday Groups Success! 🎉
Now that Term 3 has started, we're looking back on a fantastic school holiday group program!

Participants enjoyed our NEW Party Peeps program, alongside much-loved favourites including Minecraft Makers, Spectacular Space, Art Alliance, and Construction Crew.

It was wonderful to see so much fun, creativity, and teamwork, with everyone working towards their individual goals while building friendships and connecting with peers.

A huge thank you to all who joined us and made the holidays such a success. 🌟

We're already looking forward to our next round of groups in September – see you there!

🌸🦕 Building a Dinosaur Flower Garden Together! 🦕🌸
This week in our kindergarten concepts groups, our kiddos worked collaboratively to create a beautiful flower garden for some very special dinosaur visitors! 🌼🌿 From planting tall sunflowers to arranging short, bright daisies, the children explored a rich variety of colours—vibrant reds, sunny yellows, deep purples, and soft pinks—bringing their imaginative world to life.

This playful activity supported the development of important social skills. The children demonstrated teamwork by working together to design their garden, communication as they shared ideas and made plans, and turn-taking when using tools and choosing where to plant each flower. They also showed cooperation and problem-solving, helping one another decide where the tall plants should go so the shorter flowers could still be seen.

As they worked, the children used descriptive language to compare and discuss their creations—talking about which flowers were taller or shorter, big or small, and naming the many colourful blooms they added. Their creativity shone through as they imagined which dinosaurs might live in their garden and what kind of flowers those dinosaurs would like best! 🦖🌷

A wonderful hands-on experience that combined imagination, language development, and social growth—all in one magical dinosaur garden!
