26 weeksā¦.Thatās what weāre told is enough.
Enough time to recover from pregnancy, birth, sleep deprivation, hormonal shifts, round-the-clock feeding, and the complete transformation that comes with becoming a parent.
Yet postpartum recovery alone can take 12 months or more.
The truth is, a society that truly valued families would value the people raising them.
It would value connection over productivity.
Presence over pressure.
Healing over rushing mothers back into survival mode.
Because connected, grounded parents raise connected, grounded children.
Emotionally healthy children donāt grow from stressed, unsupported environments. They grow from safety, presence, attachment, and time.
And time is exactly what so many families are being forced to trade away.
The easiest way to keep people stuck is to keep them disconnected.
Disconnected from their children, their bodies and from the freedom to choose whatās best for their family.
Thatās why I stopped waiting for a system to create the life I wanted.
I decided to create another option.
Not because I never want to work.
Because I want the freedom to decide when, where, and how I work.
To be present for these foundational years without watching a government timeline count down the weeks.
This season with my baby is priceless.
And Iām building a life that allows me to stay in it for as long as I choose.
