Supporting the health and wellbeing of doctors is essential to sustaining primary healthcare in the NT.

Thanks to funding from NT PHN, Doctors Health NT has delivered outreach GP clinics, workshops, masterclasses and peer support opportunities for doctors working across remote and regional communities.

Led by A/Prof Jill Benson AM from Doctors' Health SA - DHSA, the initiative supports doctors from general practice, Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations and NT Government primary health teams, helping reduce professional isolation and providing access to tailored physical and mental health support.

“Ensuring the wellbeing of our medical workforce is essential. Without good mental and physical health and ongoing development, doctors can’t give optimal care to their patients, or flourish in other parts of their lives,” says A/Prof Benson.
