Our beautiful clients birth story ✨My waters broke naturally with a pop in bed at 6am, upon checking it had meconium in them. I called the hospital to let them know and we were off to get assessed and arrived at the hospital by 7am.
As we were waiting, I was timing my contractions and realised they were getting intense very very quickly! They were a minute long happening every 2 minutes —
Once in the birth suite, I was sat on the toilet and couldn’t get off from the pain. I knew I needed to get to the bed but every contraction that came it made it hard for me to move. I got a surge and lept off the toilet, got to the bed and realised that I don’t think this is early labour… it was definitely active!!!
With the help from my husband and my mum, I breathed through my very intense contractions.
It was just before 8am when I screamed to get my un**es off! I need to push!!!
I was offered the gas which helped me focus on my breathing, but I didn’t use it to the best i could have — I was just focusing on pushing!
Through every painful contraction, I was supported by my husband and my birthing team. I birthed my beautiful baby girl on all fours and she was born at 8:40am!
I had my golden hour straight after and it was bliss! Breastfeeding, loving & holding this beautiful baby that I had been growing for the past 10 months was a memory I will never forget!

That’s a Wrap for High Street and a New Chapter Begins 🩵

After an incredible journey on High Street since October 2022, we’re excited to announce that from Monday, we’ll be welcoming you to our new home at 40 Wilson Street Wodonga.

Our care continues and deepens with Laura, Belinda, and Kerri-Ann, who together bring over 60 years of experience in women-centered antenatal, birth, and postnatal care. With compassion, expertise, and a deep commitment to supporting women at every stage of the journey, they remain at the heart of our service.

We're also proud to continue expanding our offerings with a growing collective of women-led services:

Sarah from The Nest, Women's Health Physiotherapist. In our beautiful new education space Sarah will continue offering women antenatal Pilates as well as mums and bubs Pilates

Molly from The Psychology Collective, Clinical Psychologist. Molly is passionate about supporting wellbeing during the perinatal journey and beyond.

Amanda from Verde Nutrition Co, Dietitian and a certified Fertility and Prenatal Dietician. Amanda is particularly passionate about women's health.

Belinda, continuing her expert support as a Lactation Consultant for both antenatal and postnatal care

Kerri-Ann will continue providing personalized antenatal classes and Calmbirth education to support expectant parents

Wendy will continue supporting families by offering tongue tie division.

We are building more than a new space we’re nurturing a community where women support women, where your voice is heard, and where your care is personalized, professional, and deeply respectful.

Stay tuned over the coming month for even more exciting announcements as additional women-led services join our collective.

We can’t wait to welcome you into our new space 📍Wilson Street Wodonga a place designed with you in mind.

You may notice that toward the end of pregnancy, you notice increased tightenings or Braxton Hicks in the evening.

This is predominantly due to the release of melatonin in response to darkness.

In the context of birth, melatonin increases the uterus sensitivity to oxytocin (our labour hormone).

With darkness often comes relaxation and a sense of calm.

If your body feels safe enough to go to sleep, it is safe for your baby to be born.

See you at 2am 😉
