ConneXtions is a not-for-profit organisation committed to supporting people with disabilities to realise an inclusive life, rich in belonging and relationships with others. ConneXtions was formed after a 2 year consultation and co-design process with people with disability, their families, allies, and supporters in North East Victoria. We are people with a lived experience working with people to get the best possible life, a typical and ordinary life, including a safe and secure home of their own, a valued role contributing to the community through work or other socially valued roles, and a happy and purposeful life.

 Our Vision
To realise real choice, participation, respect and acceptance, where people belong, live the life of their choice, and are valued for who they are.

 Our Purpose
Partner with people to achieve real choice and control to live the life they want.

 Our Values
• Inclusion and Belonging
• People valuing people
• People being the experts and leaders of their lives
• Informed courage, choice and control
• Creative thinking and community based action
• Disruptive innovation
• People leading with purpose
• Partnering for sustainability

ConneXtions work with you to turn your goals into actions, and then into the life that you want for yourself. We believe that everyone has the right to a typical and ordinary life; the same life as everyone else in our community.

From this month, some NDIS support budgets will be reduced over the coming year.

This change is part of the new NDIS laws. It will reduce participant budgets for two support categories:
👉 Social, Economic and Community Participation
👉 Improved Daily Living Skills

Not all supports in these categories are affected. Supports that aren't affected include supports in employment, disability-related health supports, high intensity supports, intensive and complex behaviour supports, customised and wearable technology and hearing services.

Not all disabilities are visible, but every person deserves to be understood, respected and included.

Invisible disabilities can include autism, ADHD, chronic pain, sensory processing differences, mental health conditions and many other conditions that may not be immediately obvious to others.

Behind every person is an individual experience, and what we see on the outside doesn't always reflect the challenges someone may face each day.

This Invisible Disabilities Week, let's challenge assumptions, build understanding and create a more inclusive community where everyone feels valued, supported and accepted. 💙
