The purpose of our page is to:

This Dental Health Week (3-9 August) we’re focusing on some of our region’s youngest smiles!
The District’s mobile dental van visits primary schools across the Illawarra and Shoalhaven to provide free, fast and convenient dental care to children.

The van is a big hit, but for some children. particularly neurodiverse children or those with sensory sensitivities, a dental visit can feel overwhelming.

To help take the mystery out of the experience, our Dental Health team created a patient journey video that gives children a virtual tour of the van before their appointment. By showing exactly what to expect, the video helps build confidence and make dental visits a little less daunting for children, parents and carers.

The mobile dental van visits participating primary schools in the region and provides on-site dental check-ups, cleans, x-rays and other preventive treatments, as well as education on good oral hygiene practices.
