• Any constructive feedback or criticism.
• Shared content that is relevant, timely and appropriate. Insults, bullying, swearing, verbal attacks, trolling, degrading or untrue statements will NOT be tolerated. A huge shout out to Simon Pearson who ran 100kms in Red's Backyard Ultra marathon, raising $2,490 and counting for our Illawarra Brain Injury Service.

Simon engaged the support of our specialist team after a serious cycling accident.

Four years on, here he is at the ultra-marathon start line with Jason and Irena, two members of the Illawarra Brain Injury Service.

Jason who saw how hard Simon worked in his recovery, says:
“One of the best things about my job is helping people like Simon get back to their everyday life, family and passions. To see people grow from something that initially can put a huge hurdle in front of them is inspiring and rewarding.

For most, a traumatic brain injury comes out of left field and can take away many of the simple functions that we take for granted – our movement, the way we communicate, the way we process and retain information and even our sense of self and way of being.

The road to a recovery can be long and takes real grit from our clients.

We are absolutely thrilled that Simon is well and willing to help raise funds and awareness of the work we do with people with a traumatic brain injury in our community.”
