Your environment can change quickly. Knowing what’s happening around you can help you stay one step ahead of your asthma.

Pollen levels can rise. Smoke can move into your area. Air quality can deteriorate. And for people with asthma, these changes can increase the risk of symptoms and flare-ups.

That’s why Asthma Australia is partnering with AirHealth and encouraging people to use the AirRater app for timely, localised information about air quality, smoke, pollen and other environmental triggers.

Better information can help you recognise when your risk is increasing and act before your asthma worsens.

The RA Morning Struggle Nobody Sees
For many people living with rheumatoid arthritis, the hardest part of the day can begin before they even get out of bed.
You may wake up feeling like your body didn't actually rest. Your hands might feel stiff. Your knees may take time to loosen up. Getting dressed, making breakfast, opening a jar, or simply walking across the room can feel harder than it should.
And sometimes, the hardest part isn't the pain itself.
It's knowing that other people may not understand why something so simple takes so much effort.
RA can affect everyday activities in ways that aren't always visible to others. That's why listening to your body and giving yourself extra time when needed can be important.
Gentle movement, following your treatment plan, getting enough rest, and working with your healthcare team can all be part of managing life with RA.
You don't have to feel guilty for taking things slower on difficult days.
Your body is dealing with something real.
💬 Question for the RA community:
What is the FIRST thing you notice when you wake up during an RA flare?
Is it stiffness, pain, fatigue, swollen joints, or something else?
Share your experience below. Someone reading your comment may realize they're not alone. ❤️

The RA checklist I wish everyone understood 💜
☐ A good day doesn’t mean I’m cured.
☐ A bad day doesn’t mean I’m giving up.
☐ Rest is something my body may need.
☐ Canceling plans doesn’t mean I don’t care.
☐ Looking okay doesn’t mean I feel okay.
☐ Small tasks can sometimes take a lot of energy.
☐ I’m still doing my best — even when nobody sees the effort. ❤️
Save this for the day you need a reminder:
You don’t have to prove your pain to anyone. 🫂
If you live with RA, which one would you add to this list? 👇💜

💔 Rheumatoid Arthritis is more than joint pain. It's an autoimmune disease that can affect your entire body—your eyes, heart, lungs, and daily life.
Some people look fine on the outside while fighting an invisible battle every single day. Every step, every movement, every morning can be a challenge.
If you know someone living with Rheumatoid Arthritis, show them patience, kindness, and support. ❤️
🙏 Save this post to spread awareness. You never know who needs to see it today.
