The first six weeks rarely look like what anyone prepared you for.

Feeding takes longer than expected, sleep does not follow any pattern, and the advice from every direction can contradict itself.

Most of what feels like a problem is actually just the reality of a newborn, but some things, like pain while feeding or ongoing supply worries, are worth checking properly. 💙

A cracked ni**le, a baby who feeds constantly, or a return to work creeping closer are all reasonable things to bring to a GP appointment.
