What if I told you that I could make the daunting experience of motherhood a little easier? Let’s prepare your body for pregnancy and the postnatal period. Telehealth, face-to-face, in-home Physiotherapy and (coming soon) online courses to improve your pelvic health and provide you with tools to continue moving safely and pain free through your motherhood journey. I’m Kayla Morosin - Physiotherapist and Passionate Women’s Health advocate. With over 10 years of Physiotherapy and Clinical Pilates experience, I’m a proud part-owner of a multidisciplinary allied health clinic in the Illawarra. After the birth of my two beautiful babies, I became acutely aware of the gap in perinatal care for women and their changing bodies. And so, Evolving Bellies was born.

✈️ OUT OF OFFICE

I’m off to make some memories with my family for the next 4 weeks.

I will be contactable via email - [email protected] for anything urgent OR if you’re currently pregnant and are due while I’m away - I expect updates!!!

Please book in asap at Matremaga or Embrace as my first two weeks back are already full. Also a good idea to call and pop yourself on a cancellation list or send me a DM and I can place you on there for those first two weeks back.

Stay safe and healthy while I’m gone and I’ll see you on the flip side 🤍

Real time ultrasound 💫

A useful tool in my kit that I often use to assess the function of the pelvic floor.

It does have limitations, but it can be a really simple and non-invasive way to check how your pelvic floor is moving, to see if you have a post void residual (ie to see if you completely empty your bladder when you wee) and to give some visual feedback so that you can see your progress and develop a stronger mind-muscle connection.

The probe sits on your lower abdomen and the image is reflected on an app on my mobile phone - pretty snazzy! 🤩

Want to see how your pelvic floor moves? Ask me about it next time you’re in clinic!

It was an honour to sit amongst some of the most incredible people who work to ensure that births are BETTER for every woman.

The passion in the room was palpable and it has hit me in the feels for sure!

Time to get candid - social media is often so staged and clean and we forget about the human behind the lens.

I decided to get into the women’s health area of physiotherapy to learn how to support myself, my body and other women through all the major life stages - puberty, TTC, pregnancy, postpartum, perimenopause and menopause.

As women we go through SO MUCH change and often are expected to just go along for the ride and hope for the best. I want to change that with my practice. I want to empower and educate women so that they can understand what is happening with their bodies and how to best support themselves physically during these changes.

It’s a messy reel with lots of tangents, but it’s a true reflection of the craziness of womanhood.

As always, if you want to learn more about how a womens and pelvic health physio may be able to help you, don’t hesitate to reach out or book an appointment.

Paced by you, no particular assessment is compulsory, and if you think I haven’t heard what you’re about to say, think again.

A space where there is no shame, fear or embarrassment - I hope to provide an environment that feels safe and supportive, always.

One lucky gal will be receiving this gift voucher at the upcoming Better Births Illawarra Ten Years Strong Celebration.

This organisation raises vital funds to invest in preventing birth trauma, driving change for every woman to be able to access midwifery-led continuity of care and be respected, heard and supported.

I am so very honoured to contribute to and be a part of this very special event.

Do I really need to see a physio during pregnancy if I’m not experiencing common symptoms like leakage or constipation or pelvic pain?

👏 YES GIRL, YES.

Knowledge is power. We can talk through so many important topics:

🤍 What changes to expect in your body
🤍 Current Australian Guidelines for exercise
🤍 Birth preparation
🤍 Pelvic floor strengthening and lengthening if required
🤍 Self management techniques to prevent and ease aches and pains
🤍 Individualised education and exercise for recovery
🤍 C-scar management

The list goes on…

Wondering when to pay us a visit? Anytime is fine really, but Trimester Two is a good place to start.

Any questions? Reach out in the comments or send me a DM.
