A sooooo very needed weekend of rest and recouping in the country.

For me recouping is served in the form of physical labour - but my work brain was switched off for the whole weekend.

Time flies when you’re always planning what you’ll be doing 10 months down the track.

17 years ago today i witnessed my first homebirth.

17 years ago everything i knew as a midwife was shattered and my practice was forever changed.

I love to be reminded of this every year on. Why i do what i do.

You know i love a project… this one has been so fun.

I DIY’d a birth simulator doll and her baby.

Bertha and baby Teddy. A fraction of the price of a real simulator and works so well.

Teddy and be born breech and cephalic and all the manoeuvres for complicated birth can be practiced.

This video shows a straightforward breech and cephalic birth so you can see how well he can be born.
