SPRING REVIVAL 🌱

We're back (soon).

Renewed.
Rested.
A little more spacious.
And very ready for the aliveness that spring brings with it.

After a season of turning inward, something begins to shift.

The days get longer. The earth starts moving again. Things sprout, stretch, bloom and generally refuse to stay dormant.

And perhaps we're not so different.

My sabbatical was a reminder that stillness isn't the opposite of activity.

Stillness prepares us for it.

The pause creates space for us to hear what's happening underneath all the noise — and sometimes, when we get quiet enough, we realise our own nature has been speaking to us all along.

What wants to emerge?

What are you ready to breathe life into?

Where are you being invited to grow?

September at TPW is our Spring Revival — a whole collection of experiences designed to meet this season of renewed energy.

Not just things to do, but spaces to explore, feel, connect, rest, move, question, play and perhaps see yourself a little differently.

🌱 Meditation
🌱 Sound
🌱 Sadhana
🌱 Breath
🌱 Community
🌱 Women's health
🌱 Immersive experiences
🌱 And plenty of reasons to get out of the house after winter hibernation 😆

Consider these offerings little catalysts for renewal.

You don't have to arrive already feeling alive.

Just arrive.

Sometimes the practice is simply creating enough space to notice that something inside you is ready to stir.

The full calendar is waiting. Swipe through tonsee what's calling you.

Hello, August. 🤍

If the studio has felt a little quieter lately… you're not imagining it.

Winter has a way of inviting us inward. Even with the unusually warm days we've been gifted, there seems to be something deeper within us that still longs for slower mornings, quieter evenings and a little more space to simply be.

Maybe you've felt it too.

This month, our offerings continue to honour that invitation.

Not to become someone different.
Not to "fix" yourself.
Just to create moments where you can breathe, move, rest, connect and gently come home to yourself.

As many of you will read in this month's newsletter, I'll also be taking a short sabbatical throughout August.

It's a decision born from practising exactly what we so often explore together on the mat — listening honestly to what our body, heart and life are asking of us.

Sometimes the most courageous practice isn't pushing through.

Sometimes it's pausing.

The beautiful thing is that this community has never been built around one person. It's been built through all of us. Our incredible teachers will continue holding space, our events will continue to unfold, and the studio will continue to be the place you've always known it to be.

Thank you, as always, for allowing this space to be so wonderfully human.

Swipe through to see what's on this month, there's a little more space than usual but its the stillness we all seem to be craving right now.

Winter is naturally more yin.
Less doing.
More restoring.
Turns out your body already knows.

Yin softens the body.
Sound helps settle the mind.
Together → deeper rest.

Expect gentle supported stretches, immersive sound and deep rest.

No experience needed.
No flexibility required.
No pressure to know what you're doing.

The Cozy Practice Sunday 26th Jul 4.30-6pm
I've been thinking a lot about why this evening feels important.

Not because it's another event.

But because I think so many of us are quietly carrying more than we let on.

Life has a way of filling every spare moment. Slowing down can often feel like an aspirational illusion for the one day, some day, when I finish this and the finish line is a moving target...

The Cozy Practice was created as a gentle reminder that maybe we don't.

Maybe we're allowed to pause simply because we're human.

Maybe rest isn't something we squeeze in once everything else is done.

Maybe a couple of hours spent moving slowly, drinking tea, sharing space with good people and a reminder we have all that is needed within us is exactly what we need.

It's not about flexibility, spirituality or trying to be anything we are not right now.

It's about creating a little winter cocoon together.

A place where nothing is expected of you.

Where you can simply arrive in all your humaness, today.

If you've been watching these posts thinking, "That sounds lovely... but I'm not sure it's for me," this is me gently telling you that it probably is.

Whether you've never practised yoga, haven't been to the studio in years, come every week, or you're simply craving a ed to pause simply because we're human.

I'd genuinely love to share this space with you.

Bring yourself.

Bring a friend if that feels easier.

Come and experience what we mean when we say conscious connections and community.

I'd love to welcome you.

Sadhana Serie: 8 Limbs of Yoga | Starts Sat 25th Jul
Most people think yoga begins with movement.

Movement or Asana is just one limb or practice towards the state of yoga.

The 8 Limbs of Yoga offer a framework for navigating what it means to be human—how we relate to ourselves, to others, to challenge, to change, and to the quiet moments in between.

You don't need to be spiritual.
You don't need to know Sanskrit.
You don't need to meditate for hours.

You simply need a willingness to become a little more aware of your own experience.

One breath at a time.
One choice in each moment.
In this lies the opportunity to practice and to return to the practice time and time again.

Ashtanga Yoga system founder Sri K. Pattabhi Jois famously says, "Practice, and all is coming."

Not because life suddenly becomes easier, or there is something to achieve, but because we begin to meet it differently.

This is the spirit that gently weaves through our upcoming 6 Week Sadhana: The 8 Limbs of Yoga with Jason Reeves.

Together we'll explore these ancient teachings not as ideas to ponder and study, but as practices to embody—through movement, breath, meditation, philosophy and reflection.

No expectations.
No perfect yoga practice required.

Just an invitation to begin where you are.

If someone asked you how you're going, there's a good chance you'd answer...

"I'm just tired."

But what if what you're were really craving wasn't more sleep...

What if it was deeper rest?

We're all about sharing practices that help cultivate a holistic approah to wellness.

Yoga Nidra is one of those practices.

Despite the name, there's no movement, no flexibility required, and no need to consider yourself "a yoga person." You simply lie down while you're guided into a deeply restorative state that helps settle the nervous system and invite the body into rest.

It's an ancient yogic practice that modern research is increasingly exploring for its ability to support sleep quality, reduce stress, improve emotional regulation, and help the body shift into its natural rest-and-repair response.

For us, this isn't about escaping life or adding another wellness trend to your calendar.

It's about remembering that rest is a skill we can cultivate.

A practice.

A way of caring for ourselves before exhaustion becomes burnout.

Because yoga was never just about movement.

It has always offered practical tools for living with greater awareness, balance, and wellbeing.

Maybe movement helps us meet life.

Maybe rest helps us enjoy it.

Swipe through to discover why Yoga Nidra is becoming one of the most relevant practices for modern life. We'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments: what gets in the way of truly resting for you? 🤍

July has arrived and honestly… we’re not mad about it.

The pace slows. The air gets cooler. The urge to stay in stretchy pants becomes spiritually aligned behaviour.

And suddenly, all those “I’ll get back to my practice next week” intentions?
Yeah… this might be the week.

This month at the studio is a mix of the steady + the spacious: swipe ⬅️ and check out our usual monthly events from community yoga to the melt-on-the-mat sound events to our first annual community gathering - The Cozy Practice — no need to be a flexible or enlightened being to attend 😉

It’s less about doing more yoga…
and more about letting yoga meet you where you already are.

No need to get too serious about it either.

We’re not trying to ascend to another dimension here — just maybe… be a little more present in this one.

If you’ve been waiting for a sign to slow down a little, consider this it 🤍

Some evenings leave something behind.

Not because of what happened on paper but because of what was felt in the room.

A few Sundays ago we opened our doors to gather in a different way. Through music. Through conversation. Through shared food. Through slowing down enough to truly be with one another.

Welcoming Sangeet Mishra and Leaf Klevjer into our space for an evening of Hindustani classical music felt like so much more than hosting an event.

It felt like remembering.

Remembering that yoga was never confined to the mat.
That practice can look like listening.
Like sitting in reverence.
Like sharing a meal.
Like learning from another culture with openness and respect.
Like allowing sound, story and presence to reconnect us to something older, deeper, and quietly familiar.

To experience an art form from the spiritual birthplace of yoga within the walls of our own studio felt, in many ways, like bringing our physical practice back into conversation with its roots.

A sense of home.

This evening was held by many hands.

The conversations, planning, logistics, emails, moving furniture, preparing spaces, creating flow.

The care taken to adorn the room with beauty.

The food prepared with love to nourish not only bellies but connection.

The warm chai poured into waiting hands.

The welcoming at the door.

The quiet noticing of details that no one sees but everyone feels.

To every person who contributed behind the scenes, thank you.

And to everyone who came with openness, curiosity and presence — thank you for trusting us enough to gather differently.

These moments remind us that community is not something we say.

It is something we build.
Something we practise.
Something we tend to.

This is the thread woven through TPW.

Living.
Breathing.
Connected.

An expression of yoga in its many forms.

Thank you for being part of it 🤍
