Challengers such as estrangement, low self-esteem and loneliness can all be overcome. My name is Mark Beaton and I am an ordained Minister with the Uniting Church in Australia. I have some counselling training but the majority of my advice comes from my training and experience as a minister as well as personal experiences. My goal is to help men through difficult stages in life that include divorce or separation from a partner and children, loneliness, bereavement and low self-esteem.

Helping others is important but when it comes to living in peace with yourself only one point matters, "That your intention and your heart align".
To avoid inner conflict your intentions need to do acts of goodwill for the right reason. Do you help others because you feel a duty, or someone is watching, or you will be noticed and rewarded?
The only right reason is you help because there is a need!

Align you desire with the right intention. Why we care for others is an overflow of the way we feel about ourselves.

We make promises to others and move mountains to keep them. Yet when we make a promise to ourselves, we often break it without a second thought.
The most important relationship you'll ever have is the one you have with yourself. If you don't prioritise it, nurture it, and honour it, you'll struggle to become the person you want to be for others.
Kindness and compassion first starts with how kind and compassionate you are with yourself. When you truly care for yourself, that care naturally overflows into all your other relationships.
