More is not always better. Smarter usually is. πŸ’ͺ
Peak season tempts everyone into doing too much too soon, and the body keeps score. Load management simply means matching how much you do to how much you have prepared for, and giving recovery the same respect you give the hard sessions.
Rest days are not lazy days. They are when the adaptation actually happens.

Posture is not one battle. It is a lifelong relationship. πŸ€”
The slouch of a screen-loving teenager, the desk-bound workers, the changes that come with older age... each stage brings its own posture challenges. And at every stage, there is something you can do about it.
This graphic walks through the journey. See which life stage you recognise.
Which one is you right now? Let us know in the comments and check in with your posture.

August is Tradies National Health Month, and your body has been quietly clocking up the kilometres. πŸ’ͺ
Lifting, bending, kneeling, reaching, all day, every day. Physiotherapy helps tradespeople manage aches, reduce the risk of injury and stay on the tools for the long haul. Prevention beats downtime every time!
The ni**le you are ignoring is easier to deal with now than in six months.

Your body is home to around 100 trillion cells. πŸ’ͺ
Every single one needs oxygen, nutrients and clear nerve signals to do its job. That is a lot of tiny mouths to feed, and it relies on good circulation and a nervous system that can communicate freely.
It is part of why we care so much about how well your body moves. Healthy movement supports healthy delivery.
Did that number surprise you? Hit save and tell a science-loving mate.

Word of the month: rotator cuff πŸ™‹β€β™€οΈ
Here is a fun bit of naming trivia. The rotator cuff is not one muscle but four, and together they wrap the shoulder like a cuff to keep the ball of the joint sitting snugly in its socket. Small muscles, enormous job.
Because they work constantly and sit in a tight space, they are one of the most commonly injured structures in the body. Physiotherapy may help rebuild their strength and control.
Save this for the next time someone blames their 'rotor cup'.

"If it hurts, rest until it stops." It sounds sensible, but for most injuries it is not the full story. πŸ€”
A day or two of relative rest has its place. Beyond that, prolonged stillness stiffens joints, fades strength and can slow recovery down. The trick is the right kind of movement at the right stage.
That is a big part of what physiotherapy does: working out what your body is ready for next.

Behind the scenes: what your osteo notices πŸ‘€
Those first few minutes of your appointment? We are already paying attention. How you sit, how you breathe, whether one shoulder rides higher than the other, how you walk to the table. Your body drops little clues everywhere.
Osteopathy is about reading the whole picture, not just the spot that hurts. The sore bit is often the messenger, not the culprit.
Save this, then watch yourself stand up from your chair. What did you notice?

Not all headaches are created equal 🧠
Tension, cervicogenic and migraine headaches can feel similar but come from very different places, and some have a musculoskeletal component that responds well to hands-on care.
The graphic breaks down which is which. Knowing your type is the first step to managing it properly rather than just reaching for another tablet.
Which type sounds most like yours? Save this post for next time one strikes⚑

August is Tradies National Health Month πŸ’ͺ
Your body has earned the check-in!
Lifting, bending, kneeling, reaching, repeat. Tradies ask an enormous amount of their bodies every single day, then shrug off the ni**les as part of the job. That ni**le is information, not weakness.
We see a lot of tradies, and the ones who sort small issues early tend to stay on the tools longer.
If something has been grumbling, book in with our team at Evolve via the link in our bio or calling 4207 9960 - and we'll take a look.

"Don't compromise yourself. You are all you've got." Janis Joplin
A good reminder this month. Looking after your body is not vanity or indulgence, it is maintenance on the only one you will ever own.
The people who keep showing up are usually the ones who invest a little in themselves first.
What is one way you look after you? Share it in the comments πŸ’¬πŸ‘‡
