Real stories have the power to change lives. 💙

Looking back, Jonno can now recognise some subtle signs. Working as a teacher for 18 years, he often assumed the lingering colds he experienced were simply part of working around children during a busy winter season.

Outside of managing CVID, music has always been one of Jonno’s greatest passions. Over the years he has played guitar, bass and drums in church groups and corporate function bands. After leaving teaching, he found a new way to stay connected to the performing arts by working behind the scenes in technical production at his local live theatre.

We Are Coming to Your City!

We’re excited to share that planning is well underway for our upcoming State Member Meetings, with a full schedule of visits planned across Australia (excluding the Northern Territory).

These meetings are a fantastic opportunity for members, families, and supporters to come together, connect with others in the immunodeficiency community, share experiences, and hear the latest updates from IDFA.

We’re looking forward to bringing our community closer together and creating meaningful opportunities for connection, conversation, and support in each state.

If you’re interested in helping us make these events even more valuable for your local community — whether through sharing ideas, supporting planning, or getting involved on the day — we’d love to hear from you.

Plasma for Life is back! 💛

This August, we're proud to bring back our Plasma for Life campaign in partnership with Lifeblood, and we'd love you to be part of it.

People living with immunodeficiency rely on life-saving plasma-derived therapies every day.

Our goal this year is to bring our community together to create as many Plasma for Life teams as possible, raising awareness of immunodeficiencies and the life-changing impact of plasma donation. By creating your own team, you can inspire your family, friends, colleagues and community to learn more, get involved, and help ensure people living with immunodeficiencies have access to the plasma therapies they rely on.

Register your interest today, and we’ll send you everything you need to get started.

Starting a team is easy. Invite your family, friends, colleagues or local community to join you. Together, you can share why plasma matters, encourage more people to become donors, and even organise your own group donation day or Plasma Party at your local Lifeblood Donor Centre.
