📣 YES — WE ARE TAKING NEW PATIENTS!

We receive lots of phone calls asking if Woodburn Health is still accepting new patients, and the answer is YES, we absolutely are! 💙

A couple of our doctors have reached their full patient capacity and currently have their books closed. However, many of our doctors are still welcoming new patients, and we’d love to welcome you to Woodburn Health.

Happy Friday afternoon,

We’d love to introduce you to the newest member of our nursing team, Paul – although you’ll hear us all call him “Bushy”! 👋

Bushy is an experienced Registered Nurse with a strong background in emergency nursing. In fact, you may still spot him in LBH Emergency Department.

And, as the nickname might suggest, he’s a country bloke and knows a thing or two about cattle! 🐄

We’re very lucky to have Bushy joining the WH team and bringing his wealth of emergency experience, practical skills and down-to-earth approach to our patients.

Today we farewell Dr Brenda Nguyen. Brenda has been at Woodburn Health for over 12 months and is now moving onto her next chapter and will be relocating to Germany.
We have absolutely loved having Brenda here and would like to thank her for the care she has provided to many patients during here time here.

We're inviting local community members to be among the first to trial a new free Community Wayfinding Assistant, designed to help people find local activities, groups, services and supports that make it easier to stay connected, active and engaged.

We're especially keen to hear from:
✨ People with disability
✨ Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
✨ LGBTQIA+ people
✨ People from culturally and linguistically diverse communities

You don't need to be tech-savvy to take part.

📅 Trial period: 8 June to 20 July 2026
📱 Access the tool on your phone, tablet or computer
📝 Complete 3 short surveys during the trial

🎁 Receive a $10 EFTPOS gift card for each survey completed (up to $30 total, conditions apply)

Places are limited, and participants will continue to have access to the Assistant when it launches.

Your feedback will help shape a tool designed to connect North Coast communities with the services, activities and support available in their local area.

Thank you to everyone who has congratulated us on receiving the Outstanding New Business Award. Your kind words, messages and support mean so much to our entire team.

We’d also like to let our community know that we are accepting new patients.

While a couple of our doctors have temporarily closed their books due to demand, we still have appointments available across the practice, with two new doctors joining our team in August.

We are incredibly proud of what we’ve built for our community in such a short time. This award reflects the dedication, passion and commitment of our entire team, who work every day to provide high-quality, compassionate care.

We are proud to work alongside the wonderful allied health services based at Woodburn Health, creating a place where our community can access a broad range of healthcare.

Today we say goodbye to our wonderful phlebotomist Caitlin.

Caitlin has been working for Sullivan Nicolaides at Woodburn since we opened. She has been a valuable resource for our doctors and staff, and like her clients we will miss her terribly.

We wish you the very very best for your next chapter.

Please join us in welcoming Dr Henni Feeny!

Dr Henni completed her medical training in the UK before making Australia home. After working across several hospital specialties, including two years in emergency medicine, she is excited to begin general practice at Woodburn.

Henni values listening, building trust, and working alongside patients to achieve their health goals. She enjoys caring for people of all ages, with interests in women’s health, preventative care, mental health, skin health, and healthy living.

Outside the clinic, Henni enjoys being in nature and keeping active.
