Home Care client Lotte recently enjoyed a fantastic day out at the zoo with her carer, Anita! 🦁🐧🐘

Together they explored the many animal exhibits, taking in all the sights and sounds. While Lotte loved seeing all the animals, her absolute favourite stop was the seal enclosure, where she was fascinated watching the fish swimming through the tanks. 💙🦭

It's moments like these that highlight the joy of getting out into the community and creating meaningful experiences.

Today is World Elder Abuse Awareness Day 💜

Every older person deserves to feel safe, respected valued and heard. Elder abuse can take many forms, including financial, emotional, physical and psychological abuse, neglect and social isolation. Raising awareness is an important step in protecting the rights, dignity and wellbeing of older people.

At NAC, we are here to support older people, families, carers and community members who may be concerned about elder abuse or wellbeing.

This week, NAC proudly celebrated National Palliative Care Week 2026 🧡

Palliative care is all about living well, your way - staying comfortable, connected and supported through every stage of life. It’s care that puts people, families, kindness and dignity first.

One of this year’s important messages is that “Conversation changes everything.” While these chats can sometimes feel difficult, talking openly with loved ones and healthcare teams can bring comfort, clarity and peace of mind for everyone involved.

And here’s something many people don’t realise - palliative care isn’t just for older people. It’s for anyone of any age living with a life-limiting illness, helping them focus on quality of life and what matters most to them.

If you or your loved ones would like to learn more about palliative care and the support available, the NAC team is always here for a friendly conversation and guidance. 🧡
