Not every behaviour is what it seems.

Many autistic children are labelled as defiant, rude, difficult, attention-seeking, or disruptive when, in reality, they may be trying to communicate stress, anxiety, confusion, sensory overload, or a need for support.

When we look beyond the behaviour and seek to understand the reason behind it, we create opportunities for connection, learning, and growth.

This carousel explores some of the most commonly misunderstood behaviours in autism and offers a different perspective - one based on understanding rather than judgement.

đź’™ Every behaviour tells a story.
đź’™ Curiosity builds connection.
đź’™ Understanding changes lives.

Today we would like to welcome Pedro Kelvin Souza Soares from to Team Evolve as our first sponsored athlete.

Pedro carries a strong mindset that truly aligns with our values — believing in every possibility, no matter how difficult the journey may seem. He is an amazing kid with a bright future ahead, and we feel honoured to play a small part in a journey we are certain will be filled with success, resilience and overcoming challenges.

Let’s go, Pedro. Count on us, my friend. OSS 👊

Meltdowns are not “bad behaviour.”
They are often a sign of overwhelm, stress and a nervous system struggling to cope.

The more we understand autism, the better we can support autistic children with empathy, connection and appropriate strategies — instead of punishment and misunderstanding. ❤️

Swipe through to learn:
• The difference between meltdowns and tantrums
• Common triggers
• What actually helps
• How small changes can make a big difference

Understanding changes everything. 💙💜💛💚

Sometimes therapy doesn’t look like therapy - and that’s the point.
Through play, we create natural opportunities to teach:
• Emotional regulation
• Social skills
• Conflict resolution
• Communication
• Flexibility
• Confidence and independence
What may look like “just playing” is often a carefully planned, evidence-based intervention backed by ABA and behavioural science.
Every game can become an opportunity for growth. ❤️💙💛💚

Most people know ADHD medication works…
Very few understand how.

Here’s a simple breakdown of what actually happens in the brain and body.

Most parents don’t realise this…
Screens might be doing more harm than good.

For children with Autism & ADHD,
screen time isn’t just “downtime” — it directly impacts development.

We often see:
• Increased meltdowns
• Reduced attention span
• Difficulty with social interaction
• Low tolerance to boredom

And the hardest part?
Screens become the go-to coping tool…
which can slowly replace real skill development.

At Evolve NDC, we focus on:
âś” Emotional regulation
âś” Social skills
âś” Real-world independence

Because development happens through interaction — not isolation.
