Breast implant removal isn't a one-size-fits-all decision; it's different for every patient. 🌿

Some of the most common reasons our patients consider it:
✨ Reaching a different stage of life, where implants no longer feel like the right fit
✨ Implants nearing the end of their expected lifespan
✨ Pain or discomfort
✨ Visible deformity or changes over time
✨ General concerns about how they look or feel

If removal is something you're considering, it's worth having an honest conversation about what your results may look like afterwards, how the capsule is managed, and whether a lift could help you achieve the outcome you're after — this isn't the same for everyone.

Disclaimer: Individual results may vary and depend on factors such as age, health, weight, hormones, and lifestyle. It’s important to note that surgical and invasive procedures entail inherent uncertainties and risks. The outcomes attained are not of a permanent nature and will naturally evolve alongside your body’s changes over time.
Following your consultation with the Norwest Cosmetic Surgery team, it is advisable to seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner.https://www.norwestcosmeticsurgery.com.au/risks...

Loose skin is one of the most common and most misunderstood concerns we hear. Not every case needs the same treatment; it comes down to how advanced the laxity is.

For mild laxity, non-surgical treatments can genuinely help. Morpheus8 uses radiofrequency microneedling to stimulate collagen, while Renuvion tightens skin using cold helium plasma — both with no incisions and little to no downtime.

But non-surgical treatments have a ceiling. For more advanced laxity: stretched or hanging skin — surgery tends to give better, longer-lasting results. That's where abdominoplasty (tummy), thighplasty (thighs), and brachioplasty (arms) come in, removing excess skin and re-contouring the area.

Breast Implant Sizing Isn't Just Picking a Number 📏🤍

The right implant isn't chosen off a size chart- it's based on YOUR anatomy.

We look at your chest wall width, existing breast dimensions, tissue thickness, and how much natural breast tissue you have to work with. Get any of these wrong, and an implant that's too wide, too narrow, or simply doesn't suit your frame may not sit well or achieve that balanced, proportionate look you're after. ⚖️

This is why our approach to breast surgery looks a little different:
✔️ A genuinely thorough consultation — not a rushed measure-and-go
✔️ Time spent understanding your concerns and goals, not just your dimensions
✔️ A full, honest walk-through of your risk profile, so every decision is an informed one

Because getting this right matters more than getting it done fast. 💫

Breast Lift vs Breast Augmentation — what's the difference? 🤍

A breast lift on its own doesn't restore volume — it repositions and reshapes the breast, addressing sagging rather than fullness. For many women, especially after weight loss, pregnancy, breastfeeding, or with age, both volume and position can change over time. In these cases, a combined lift and augmentation is often the more suitable approach — addressing shape and fullness together, rather than one without the other.

There's no single right answer here: it depends on your anatomy, your goals, and what's changed for you. That's why we take consultations slowly and never rush this decision. We take the time to properly understand your concerns, walk through your options clearly, and where it makes sense, discuss a staged approach rather than doing everything at once.

If you're weighing up a lift, augmentation, or both, the best next step is a proper conversation with Dr Supra about what's right for your body.

Under-eye bags aren't a sleep problem. They're a structural one.

Orbital fat pushes forward as the septum weakens: steatoblepharon. Which is why it's still there after eight hours' sleep.

Taking that fat out often ages the eye. Repositioning it over the rim, sometimes with fat transfer and a canthopexy for lid support, restores the contour instead of hollowing it. Crepey skin is a separate issue again, that's where Morpheus8 comes in.

Same complaint, three different causes. Worth knowing which one is yours.

GLP-1s have changed weight loss. The conversation we're now having in clinic? What happens to the skin. 👇
When weight comes off quickly, skin doesn't always retract with it. Some people find it settles with time. Others find it doesn't.
Three things worth knowing:
1. Wait. We suggest 3–6 months at a stable weight before considering surgery. Your body is still changing and so is your result.
2. The approach depends on the area.
Abdomen → abdominoplasty
Upper arms → brachioplasty (arm lift)
Thighs → thighplasty
3. Nutrition first. Rapid weight loss can leave protein, iron and B12 low. These matter enormously for healing, so we check and correct them before planning anything.
Not everyone needs surgery, and not everyone is a suitable candidate.

🌸 Fat transfer to the breast — what to know first.

It can give a moderate increase in volume using your own fat, for a subtle, natural look. Want something more dramatic? Implants may suit you better but that's a chat for your consultation. Not all transferred fat stays. Whatever remains after the first few months is generally there to stay.
Important: it can change how future mammograms look, so always let your GP and radiologist know if you've had this done.

Curious what's right for you? Book a consult with Dr Supra. 📅

Can we retire the term "mommy makeover"? 🙄
(Yes, that eye-roll is contagious ; I caught mine from my wife.)
Here's my issue with it: the name makes it sound like something you pick up at a medispa between coffees. It doesn't. Pregnancy and breastfeeding change the body in real, structural ways the abdominal wall, the breasts, the skin and restoring that often involves proper surgery.
We're talking abdominoplasty to repair separated abdominal muscles and remove excess skin. A breast lift or augmentation to restore shape and position. These are considered surgical procedures with real planning, real recovery, and real anatomy behind them .Not a "makeover."
Language matters. When we trivialise what these procedures involve, we do a disservice to the women considering them, who deserve to understand the reality, not the marketing.
So let's call it what it is: post-pregnancy restorative surgery. Assessed properly. Planned properly. Respected properly.
Every patient is different, and results vary;the right approach is always individualised at consultation.

Does fat come back after liposuction? 🧱
Here's the truth: the fat cells we remove during liposuction are gone permanently. Adults don't grow new fat cells in meaningful numbers but the remaining cells can still expand if weight increases significantly after surgery.
Think of your body like a brick wall. Liposuction reshapes the bricks ,the deeper fat layer. But your skin is the wallpaper over that wall. If the wallpaper is firm and elastic, it re-drapes beautifully over the new contour. If it's stretched, thin, or damaged, removing bricks alone won't give you a smooth finish and that's exactly why not everyone is a good candidate for liposuction alone.
This is why patient selection matters more than the procedure itself. In your consultation, I assess your skin quality, fat distribution, and goals before recommending anything. Sometimes liposuction is right. Sometimes it needs to be combined with skin-directed treatment. Sometimes it's not the right procedure at all and I'll tell you that honestly.
