Have you ever wondered what working with a coach actually means?
Ā
Here’s the thing – I will never NOT work with a coach in some capacity… Depending on what I am working on at a specific point in time in my life, I will be either working with a business coach, a movement coach, a strength coach, a nutrition coach, a mindset coach, a finance coach, a spiritual coach… (yes I have worked with all of these at some point in my life – and they may be called other titles, I just gave them these titles to make it easier to understand the concept)…
Ā
Coaching is about being truly heard, first. Then being given a guide to follow and feedback along the way to learn to trust yourself (in whatever area you are working on) to establish new patterns/foundations/choices….

And this is how I work…Before anything changes, I want to understand your (the clients) pain, your habits, your history, your life, not just your goals. Because here’s what the research on behaviour change tells us: individualised support produces far better long-term results than generic instruction. Because it accounts for your context, your history, your actual life. That’s what makes change sustainable instead of another thing that didn’t work. When I work with someone, I move across foundational habits = movement, nutrition, mindset, and lifestyle habits. Not as separate boxes to tick, but as one whole picture of how you feel in your body and your life. We start wherever you are. No assumptions. No judgment. No expectation that you should already know how to do this.
Ā
If you’ve been quietly wondering whether working with someone like me might help — that wondering is worth exploring. I offer a free discovery call. No pressure, no pitch. Just a real conversation about where you are and what might be possible. Link in bio to my website– fill out the initial contact form and I will connect with you to book a call! Ā I’d love to meet you exactly where you are.

Most people approach health by trying to change everything at once.

A new diet. A new workout program. Better sleep. More water. Less stress. More discipline.

It works for a few weeks, until life gets busy and everything falls apart.

What if we took the opposite approach? A ZOOMED OUT APPROACH!

Instead of trying to overhaul your life in 30 days, spend 12 months building just six foundational habits.

Focus on one habit for two months at a time until it becomes part of who you are, then move on to the next.

Strength train three times a week. Walk 10,000 steps a day. Do 10 minutes of mobility. Create a consistent sleep routine. Eat mostly whole foods and prioritise protein. Learn to believe in yourself and your ability to keep going.

By the end of the year, you won’t just have completed another health challenge, you’ll have created a lifestyle.

The goal isn’t to spend the rest of your life fixing yourself. The goal is to build habits so deeply ingrained that looking after your health becomes your nature.

Health doesn’t need more intensity. It needs more consistency.

Master the basics, give them time, and watch what happens to your energy, strength, confidence and quality of life.

After more than 20yrars working in health, rehabilitation, movement, nutrition, and behaviour change, I’ve noticed something interesting: most people don’t need a more complicated plan. They need to consistently do the fundamentals that humans are designed to thrive on.

If you committed to these 6 habits for the next 12 months, your energy, strength, resilience, confidence, and quality of life would likely look very different.

1. Sleep at 9pm and wake at 5am - Sleep is the foundation that everything else sits upon.
2. Strength train three days per week - Strength is one of the greatest predictors of health and independence as we age.
3. Spend 10–15 minutes on mobility every day - Most people accept stiffness as a normal part of ageing. It isn’t. The body adapts to whatever positions and movements it experiences regularly.
4. Eat 80% whole foods and include 30g of protein at each meal - Nutrition doesn’t need to be perfect. Focusing on mostly whole foods provides the vitamins, minerals, fibre, and nutrients your body needs to function well.
5. Walk 10,000 steps per day - Walking remains one of the most underrated forms of exercise available.
6. Believe in yourself 100% and know that you cannot fail - This isn’t positive thinking. It’s a commitment to persistence.

The truth is that these 6 habits won’t make life perfect. You’ll still experience challenges, stress, loss, uncertainty, and difficult seasons.
But you’ll face those challenges with a stronger body, a clearer mind, more energy, greater resilience, and more confidence in yourself. And that changes everything.

If you had to choose just ONE of these habits to improve over the next 30 days, which would have the biggest impact on your life?
I’d love to hear your answer below.

Most people think they need a stronger back (and although that may be true) – most of the time what they actually need is more movement through their hips….

TheĀ piriformisĀ is a small muscle deep in the buttock that helps control hip rotation. When it becomes tight or irritated, it can contribute to hip discomfort and even symptoms that feel similar to sciatica.

TheĀ psoasĀ is one of the body’s most important muscles. It connects your spine to your legs and plays a major role in posture, walking and movement. Long periods of sitting, stress, driving, desk work and inactivity can leave it feeling tight and restricted.

When hip mobility decreases, the lower back often works harder to compensate; and the results are stiff hips, achy lower back, reduced movement quality and more discomfort in everyday activities…

šŸ”„ Try this ACTIVE ELEVATED PIGEON for 30-60 seconds each side daily for the next 30 days and see how your body responds!!! (It doesn’t have to look like mine, you can use a block under the knee if you knee won’t lower to the block).

Remember: pain is complex, but improving mobility is rarely wasted effort.

āļø Save this for later and send it to someone who always complains about tight hips.

I spent time caring for people with dementia in England in my 20s. It changed everything about how I see this human experience AND, health and longevity...
There is nothing quite like being alongside someone in the final chapters of their life to make you deeply, viscerally clear on one thing:
Health is not a background condition. It is the whole foundation to life!
When it goes or even when it quietly diminishes, everything that made life rich starts to narrow. The places you go. The things you carry. The people you can reach. The moments you can be present for.
I didn't really know it while it was happening but my time in England doing dementia care work gave me a knowing that I wanted help people live long into their laters years WITH VITALITY...

If you're 50+ and you're starting to feel that quiet narrowing, the stiffness, the hesitation, the "I used to be able to" - please hear me when I say: now is exactly the right time!!

Health isn't something you maintain. It's something you tend to - through exercise, nutrition, mindset and wellness. Every single day....
What does health mean to you beyond the absence of illness?

I’m 43.
I have had a herniated disc (managed).
I have had stress fractures in the head of my femur.
I was the most inflexible in my dance classes in my teen years.
I once struggle to touch my toes.
I learnt to handstand after 40yo.
I achieved a middle split and pancake after 41yo.
And – I was 43yo when I unlocked a simple pistol squat!
Ā
I am no different to any other body around…
The difference – I learnt somewhere along the way that there is always a way and that what others say is the limit is not my limit, unless I choose it to be….
Ā
I was not one of those people who was born with skills or ability like this.
I want to show people that having an idea, goal, desire for ability or to live without pain IS ALL ACHIEVABLE – if you have the right people around you and belief in yourself.
Ā
If something here resonates with you reach out! Learn how to listen to your body again with the support of someone who can teach you to trust your body to move the way it can. Learn how to move freely, and when and how to push into discomfort. Learn to create space in your body while also building strength.
If I can do it, so can you. You just need structure and support and faith in your own body once again.

Do you obsess over ā€œgoodā€ and ā€œbadā€ foods?

What if you let go of labeling foods and choose foods based on nourishment and how it made you feel energetically?

Listen to what I’m talking about with consistency and simple nutrition.
How does that land for you? What comes up when you reflect on your habits and patterns?

Drop me a sentence here šŸ‘‡šŸ» on wha your relationship with food is?
I’m here to help, unpack and simplify nutrition for you!

You age the way you move. Not the other way around!

I want to continuously challenge the story that getting older means getting slower, stiffer, weaker. That aches and limitations are just part of the deal after 40. They don’t have to be….

Research actually shows us that biological ageing and chronological ageing are two different things. The number of years you’ve been alive doesn’t determine how your body functions. How you move, sleep, eat and manage stress has a measurable effect on how your cells age.

And muscle? MUSCLE is one of the most powerful longevity tools we have. A major study published in The Lancet found that muscle strength in midlife was one of the strongest independent predictors of long-term health outcomes, more predictive than BMI or even cholesterol. Strength and Functionality = the ability to carry, climb, lift, play. The beautiful thing is: muscle responds to training at any age.

I work with people in their 40s, 50s and 60s who came to me feeling like it was too late. And every single time, we prove that it isn’t. You are not too old. You are just not yet moving in a way that matches what your body is actually capable of.

That’s exactly what I help people discover. If this is landing for you, I’d love to have a conversation. Link in bio or message me directly. šŸ‘‡ Save this and share it with someone who needs to hear it today.
