✨ WHEN WE BURY IT, THE BODY STILL REMEMBERS ✨
Sometimes we go through things that are too painful, overwhelming or difficult to process.
So we push them down.
We tell ourselves, “I’m fine.”
We keep busy.
We move on.
We avoid talking about it.
We bury the emotions deep within ourselves and hope that, with time, they will disappear.
But unprocessed emotions and trauma can continue to affect us.
What we don't allow ourselves to feel can sometimes show up as tension, exhaustion, feeling constantly on edge, difficulty sleeping, headaches, digestive discomfort, emotional overwhelm or simply feeling disconnected from ourselves.
Our body and mind are deeply connected. When we live in a state of stress for long periods, our nervous system can remain activated, making it harder for the body to truly relax and feel safe.
🌿 Your body isn't working against you. It's communicating with you.
Sometimes that ache, heaviness, exhaustion or emotional reaction is your body asking you to slow down, listen and give yourself the care you've been needing.
Healing doesn't mean forgetting what happened.
It doesn't mean forcing yourself to relive painful experiences either.
It can simply begin with creating a safe space to acknowledge what you've been carrying.
To breathe.
To feel.
To release what you're ready to release.
And to gently remind yourself:
“I don't have to carry everything anymore.” 🤍
Your body deserves safety.
Your mind deserves peace.
And your soul deserves the opportunity to breathe again.
✨ Healing is not about becoming who you were before. It's about reconnecting with yourself, one gentle step at a time.
If you’re carrying something heavy, you don't have to navigate it alone. Support can be an important part of healing from trauma. Sessions available online or in my private studio in Woy Woy 🫶 Please reach out if you need 💫 Ella 🌈
