Why? Because it really does. Genuinely, more than almost anything else about teaching yoga.
I didn’t start our studios because I wanted to teach people how to perfect a pose. I started it because I know what it feels like to walk into a yoga class and feel invisible, and I know what it feels like to walk in and feel like you belong. Those two things are worlds apart, and I decided a long time ago which one I wanted to build.
Great communities don’t happen by accident. We deliberately don’t have mirrors, so there’s nothing to compare yourself to. We choose teachers who are more interested in your day than whether you can touch your toes. We offer a range of classes and styles so this is a place for everybody and every level. It’s all built on purpose, one small choice at a time.
We truly don’t care about your size, your shape, your age, your gender. We care that you feel safe and seen the second you walk through the door. We don’t care how “good” you are at yoga, that’s honestly the least important part of the practice, and it was never the point.
You don’t have to walk in “good vibes only” either. You’re allowed to come to class angry, sad, flat or just over it. We don’t promote positive vibes only, because that whole “just choose happiness” thing can end up feeling like your bad day isn’t allowed in the room. This is real life yoga, for real people.
Not one where you have to prove anything or measure up in any way. Just one where you can show up as you are and know you belong.
