It’s interesting how quickly the mind can turn simple things into something a lot heavier.
A bit of overthinking here, a touch of spiralling there, and suddenly you’re mentally preparing for situations that haven’t even happened yet, and might NEVER happen.
None of it is really about the situation in front of you. It’s about the lens it’s being filtered through.
And the mind, to be fair, is very confident in its opinion… even when it has absolutely no new information, and often completely wrong.
Yoga is a way to step out of that for a while.
Not to fix anything. Just to quiet the noise enough to see things a little more clearly again, and maybe stop treating every thought like it’s a breaking news update. Stop treating all your thoughts as the absolute truth.
A few minutes on the yoga mat can be enough to interrupt the loop, settle the nervous system, quiet the mind and bring you back to what’s actually here.
