🌟 PROUD MOMENT 🌟
Today is a very proud day for all of us at Central Coast Family Psychology.
One of our wonderful young clients, who experienced significant school distress and school can’t for many years, has achieved some incredible personal goals this year.
He has maintained strong attendance throughout Year 8, completed his very first overnight school camp, and today received a school award recognising excellence across all areas of school life.
We are incredibly proud of this young person, and equally proud of his family, who have walked beside him through every challenge, setback, uncertainty and success.
What makes this achievement particularly meaningful is that these were goals that mattered to him.
His journey reminds us that when young people are supported with understanding, flexibility, connection, respect and evidence-informed approaches, they can often achieve things that once felt impossible.
At the same time, we recognise that every young person’s pathway is different. For some children experiencing school can’t, success may involve returning to school. For others, success may involve alternative education, homeschooling, vocational pathways, community participation, improved wellbeing, stronger relationships, or simply feeling safe enough to engage with the world again.
There is no single measure of success.
Our role is not to push young people towards a predetermined outcome. Our role is to support them in building a life that aligns with their strengths, needs, values and goals.
Today, we celebrate one remarkable young person who achieved goals that were important to him.
We couldn’t be prouder of him, his parents, or his sister.
Congratulations on everything you have achieved. Your future is bright, and we are honoured to have been part of your journey. ⭐
