You can be surrounded by people and still feel completely alone.
Loneliness isn’t always about being physically alone. Sometimes, it’s about feeling disconnected, misunderstood, or as though the relationships around you aren’t giving you the connection you need.
And it can affect more than just how we feel. Research has linked prolonged loneliness and social isolation with impacts on both mental and physical wellbeing.
The good news is that connection can be rebuilt and recognizing what you’re experiencing can be an important first step.
