Dear Patients, Colleagues & Friends,
It is with regret that we inform you that as of the 31 July 2026, we will be closing Old Linton Medical Practice. This has been a difficult decision to make, and has been arrived at after a considerable amount of reflection.
I really found my calling in psychotherapy about a year ago, and have very much enjoyed working in a new space. I am most grateful for the support of my patients and the community in making this change. In recent months, care responsibilities around a close family member have also become more pressing, and I wish to be able to spend as much time with them as possible going forward.
Happily, Dr Musa has found a role in general practice with our colleagues at Atherfield, and will be starting there from 3 August 2026. I would be grateful for your continuing support of her there.
Old Linton will of course facilitate the transfer of your medical records on request, and will continue to monitor emails as well as results in the wake of the closure for a period of 3 months. All records will otherwise be stored in compliance with current requirements. We will be happy to assist with any queries you may have in the coming weeks.
On a personal note, Yass and I have been through a lot together over the years. I can’t thank the town enough for its kindness and support around the passing of my grandfather Dr Ray Burn, for welcoming me into your community, and for helping build this Practice into something I will always be very proud of.
This is big news, and could be disappointing, sad or unsettling. If there’s anything we can do to help while we remain open, please let us know. We can be contacted on (02) 6226 3697 or at [email protected] as usual. We are hosting a farewell towards the end of July – details to come – and would love to see you there.
Best wishes,
Dr Hannah Burn
