Heart Health Warning Signs That May Need Immediate Medical Help | HEART HEALTH SERIES — POST #19
Did you know that some symptoms should not be ignored as just tiredness, gas, or stress? 🫀⚠️
Heart attack symptoms are not the same for everyone, and sometimes symptoms can even start mildly. Getting medical help early can be crucial in reducing heart damage.
🚨 Which Symptoms Should Be Taken Seriously?
🔴 Chest Pain or Pressure
Pressure, squeezing, heaviness, or discomfort in the center of the chest that lasts for a few minutes or comes back repeatedly.
🔴 Difficulty in Breathing
Shortness of breath, even if there is no chest pain.
🔴 Pain Spreading to Other Areas
Pain or discomfort in the arm, shoulder, back, neck, jaw, or upper body.
🔴 Sudden Weakness, Dizziness, or Fainting
Especially if it occurs along with other symptoms.
🔴 Nausea, Cold Sweat, or Unusual Fatigue
These can also be possible symptoms of a heart attack. In women, unusual fatigue, nausea, or back/shoulder pain may sometimes be more prominent.
🧠 Also Remember Stroke Symptoms — B.E.F.A.S.T.
B — Balance: Sudden loss of balance
E — Eyes: Sudden change in vision
F — Face: Drooping of one side of the face
A — Arm: Weakness or numbness in one arm
S — Speech: Difficulty speaking or slurred words
T — Time: Get emergency medical help immediately.
⚠️ Important Note:
Not every chest pain is necessarily a heart attack, but self-diagnosing at home is not safe. If you suspect symptoms of a heart attack or stroke, get emergency medical help immediately and avoid driving yourself.
❤️ Remember: Recognizing warning signs and taking timely action can be life-saving.
