🦴 Follow-up Outcome of Tibial Plateau Fracture (Post-Operative – 2 Months)
A case of tibial plateau fracture (Schatzker Type II tibial plateau fracture – lateral split with depression) managed surgically with open reduction and internal fixation.
🔧 Operative Details:
• Approach: Standard anterolateral approach to proximal tibia
• Implant: Proximal tibial locking compression plate (LCP) with rafting screws to support articular surface
• Reduction: Elevation of depressed fragment with restoration of joint congruity
• Bone grafting: Subchondral void filled with bone graft (where indicated)
📅 2-Month Follow-up Findings:
✅ Surgical wound healed well
✅ No evidence of infection or implant-related complication
✅ Radiographs show maintained reduction and alignment
✅ Progressive callus formation noted
✅ Knee range of motion improving with physiotherapy
✅ Patient mobilizing with partial weight bearing support
📌 Discussion:
Early surgical stabilization using a locking plate system ensures articular congruity, axial alignment, and early mobilization, which are critical for preventing long-term complications like post-traumatic osteoarthritis.
Patient is on track for gradual return to full weight bearing as per clinical and radiological progression.

A case of distal femur fracture was treated with intramedullary nail fixation. Proper alignment and stable fixation were achieved intraoperatively, ensuring good biomechanical support for early mobilization.
🔹 Procedure: Closed/Open reduction with SIGN nail fixation unfortunately screw size is not available.
🔹 Outcome: Stable fixation with satisfactory alignment
🔹 Plan: Early rehabilitation and gradual weight bearing
This case highlights the effectiveness of SIGN nailing in managing distal femur fractures, especially in settings with limited resources.

Follow-up at 4 months of a distal humeral fracture.
Patient demonstrates good functional recovery with satisfactory elbow range of motion. Radiological progression is consistent with healing, and clinically the outcome is encouraging.
Continued physiotherapy and gradual return to daily activities have contributed significantly to this improvement.

Operated two cases of distal femur fracture. One case was managed with open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF) using a distal femur locking side plate. The second case was more complex, involving a broken intramedullary nail, which required careful removal followed by stabilization with appropriate fixation.
Both procedures were completed successfully. Sincere thanks to the entire OT team for their excellent cooperation and support.

Successful Surgery Update!
A lady recently underwent ORIF (Open Reduction and Internal Fixation) for a depressed tibial plateau fracture (Schatzker Type II).
The fracture was stabilized using a proximal tibial metaphyseal plate, and the surgery went smoothly. ✅
Wishing her a speedy recovery! 🩺💪

Case Highlight 🦴

A 45-year-old female presented with a non-union fracture of the shaft of the humerus with implant in situ following previous surgery.
The case was managed using an Ilizarov external fixator, providing stable fixation and biological stimulation to promote fracture union.

The patient is currently on regular follow-up, with close monitoring of radiological healing and functional recovery.
