USAID’s MaMoni Maternal and Newborn Care Strengthening Project (MaMoni MNCSP) implemented by Save the Children and its consortium partners-Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI), Jhpeigo, Dnet, icddr,b; Council for Health Service Accreditation of Southern Africa (COHSASA) and Partners in Health Development (PHD) in Bangladesh is working to s

ubstantially improve health outcomes for mothers and newborns in Bangladesh. The project supports the Health, Population and Nutrition Sector Program of the Bangladesh government to achieve its goal of reducing maternal and
neonatal mortality rate by 2022. It demonstrates proven Maternal and Newborn Health (MNH) interventions in small areas, expanding those interventions in 17 project districts and an island named Swandip reaching approximately 34.8 million population. It also strives to improve equitable access to quality MNH services, especially for the poor and marginalized who are more susceptible to maternal and neonatal deaths. Additionally, it facilitates health systems improvements and policy changes for sustained impact at scale. Project Duration:
April 2018-April 2023

Project reach:
Sunamganj, Netrokona, Shariatpur, Sylhet, Mymensingh, Habiganj, Brahmanbaria, Manikganj, Kushtia, Faridpur, Madaripur, Chandpur, Lakshmipur, Feni, Noakhali, Bandarban, Cox's Bazar and Sandwip.
