🌍 CMED Health at the 2026 Annual Meeting of GI-AI4H: Taking Bangladesh’s AI-Powered Healthcare Innovation to the Global Stage

We are proud to share that CMED Health’s Intelligent General Practitioner (iGP) Model was showcased at the 2026 Annual Meeting of the Global Initiative on AI for Health (GI-AI4H), held in Hangzhou, China, from 16–18 September 2026.

Selected by GI-AI4H as a case study, iGP Model was proudly presented by Prof. Khondaker A. Mamun, PhD., Founder of CMED Health. The presentation highlighted the implementation experience of iGP Model in Bangladesh and India and its approach to strengthening preventive and primary healthcare in resource-constrained settings.

iGP Model brings together:

🔹 Community Health Workers (CHWs)
🔹 IoT-enabled Point-of-Care Diagnostic devices
🔹 Digital health records
🔹 Health education, screening, and risk assessment
🔹 Triage, referral and follow-up

Together, these components support a people-centered, AI-enabled approach to preventive and primary healthcare, connecting communities with appropriate healthcare services and strengthening continuity of care.

The GI-AI4H Annual Meeting, convened by ITU, WHO and WIPO, brings together global stakeholders working to advance responsible and inclusive AI for health.

For CMED Health, this participation represents an opportunity to share our experience in technology-enabled, community-centered healthcare delivery and contribute Bangladesh’s implementation experience to the global conversation on AI, digital health, primary healthcare, and Universal Health Coverage (UHC).

AI is Reshaping Primary Healthcare in Bangladesh.

We are proud to share that The Daily Star has published an opinion article by our founder, Prof. Khondaker A. Mamun, PhD. It highlights how Artificial Intelligence is transforming primary healthcare in Bangladesh and paving the way toward Universal Health Coverage (UHC).

The article showcases CMED Health's Intelligent General Practitioner (iGP) Model—an AI-enabled, community-based primary healthcare ecosystem that combines AI-powered clinical decision support, Community Health Workers, IoT-enabled Point-of-Care Diagnostics, Digital Health Accounts, telemedicine, GP Centers, and integrated referral services to deliver affordable, accessible, and quality healthcare at the community level.

Over the past decade, the iGP Model has:
