Same muscle cramp — different internal trigger. ⚡️
A calf cramp can look the same from the outside, but what’s happening inside the muscle may be very different.
💧 Dehydration: lower fluid availability can make the muscle environment less stable and contribute to tighter contractions.
🧂 Electrolyte imbalance: disrupted ion balance can affect normal nerve–muscle signaling and make contraction–relaxation patterns less coordinated.
⚡️ Neuromuscular fatigue: repeated motor-nerve firing during intense exercise can reduce complete relaxation and contribute to a sustained cramp.
So a cramp is not always just “low magnesium.”
