Measles: A Global Challenge.

🎤 KEYNOTE SPEAKER: Prof. Dr. Salamat Khandker, PhD

He presented a critical epidemiological analysis of measles in Bangladesh, covering:

· Current incidence trends and outbreak patterns
· Key social determinants of health, including:
· Stigma
· Cultural and religious beliefs influencing health-seeking behavior
· Evidence-based prevention strategies
· The urgent need to strengthen routine immunization coverage
· Enhancing community engagement and risk communication to reduce transmission

He provided clinical and operational insights on:

· Clinical features and causes of measles
· Effective case management protocols
· The importance of integrating public health with the One Health approach for sustainable disease prevention and control
