Sometimes a small adjustment can change how a posture feels.

Join Andréa Drottholm for a weekend exploring Alignment & Individual Approach in Ashtanga Yoga. A chance to slow down, ask questions and better understand how the practice can support your individual body.

We’ll explore standing, seated and finishing postures, looking at alignment, breath, stability and ways to adapt. Each day closes with mantra and Yoga Sūtra chanting.

And if you practise Vinyasa, you’re very welcome too. Many of the postures and principles are shared, offering plenty of insight and inspiration to take back to your own practice.

Come with curiosity and discover where a little more understanding might create more steadiness and ease. 🤍

High in the mountains of Monchique, Portugal, we’ll nourish ourselves with yoga, silence, good food, meditation and the simple joy of sharing a week with others.

Join a hike, settle down with a book or take a nap. Everything is optional, with space to follow your own pace.

A week with a little less to do and a little more room to breathe.

November 21–28 🍂

One of my favourite things about hosting retreats is watching what happens over the course of a week.

People arrive still carrying their everyday lives with them. Work, family, messages, things that need to be organised, things that are still playing somewhere in the back of the mind.

And then, little by little, something starts to settle.

You see people becoming more comfortable with not having to fill every bit of space.

They stay outside a little longer after practice.
They read. They walk. They talk. They rest.
Sometimes they simply sit somewhere and let the day unfold.

And after a few days, doing less doesn’t seem to feel like doing nothing anymore.

There is practice, of course. Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Yin, meditation. There is good food, nature, conversations and time together.

But I think part of the real value of a retreat is everything that happens in between.

Having enough space for the mind to become a little quieter.
To notice how you actually feel.
To remember that life doesn’t always need to be filled to be meaningful.

It is beautiful to witness that shift every time.

From 21–28 November, we’ll be high in the mountains of Monchique, Portugal.

Maybe you could use a little space like that too.

Last week we kicked off our 200-hour Foundational Teacher Training with a wonderful new group of trainees, and it promises to be a good year ☺️

Being a teacher trainer is still one of my favourite parts of this work.

There is something very special about having more time together to practise, study, question, refine and go a little deeper.

For me, the Academy is not only for those who want to teach. It is also for students who simply want to understand yoga more fully, deepen their own practice and spend time with it beyond the weekly class.

For those who do teach, it is also about learning to guide with care and creating spaces that are ethical, safe and respectful.

The upcoming months bring our 100h Yin Yoga Training, In Safe Hands and Advanced Vinyasa Training, with more to come in 2027.

Maybe one of them meets you exactly where you are right now.

Have you told your friends about the start-to-yoga series?

It’s a simple way to begin. With breath, with movement, with a little more quiet in the day. A space where they can slow down, feel more at home in their body, and find some peace of mind.

Starting this Saturday with Nadine 🧘🏽‍♀️ 🪷 🧘🏾‍♂️
