Why Yoga for Men?

I believe men deserve spaces dedicated to their development too.

And for me, yoga is an incredible way of creating that space.
We start with the body - with strength, mobility, movement and breath. But the body is really where we begin.

Through practice, we learn to pay attention. To notice tension, our reactions, our habits, our limits.

And practising together as men creates a shared context for that exploration.

With time, that awareness starts to move beyond the mat: nto how we think, how we relate, the choices we make and how we show up in life.

And ultimately, yoga can take us beyond body and mind altogether.

That's why I teach Yoga for Men.

I’ve just come out of our new home: Atelier Du Mon.
And this is where we’re going to start our fourth season of Yoga for Men.

Every Wednesday at 21h, we’ll have a beautiful, spacious room waiting for us with mats, blocks and bolsters, changing rooms and showers… and, hopefully, plenty of motivation to keep working on ourselves throughout Season 4.

We start Wednesday, 2 September at 21h.
I’m really looking forward to seeing you there

Last class of the season was 29 July. The fourth season starts in September.

August is the month I don't teach. It's also the month I'm doing the work I never have time for: writing the method down. Three years of teaching men, following seasons and natural rhythms, and until now most of it lived only in my head.

A practice that exists only in the teacher isn't a method. It's a habit that happens to work.
Back in September!

Testing something before bringing it to class last week.

The wheel doesn't ask for strength first. It asks where your center actually is... not where you assume it is.

Most of us think balance is a leg and hip problem. It's not. It's a core and breath problem. The wheel removes the floor's certainty and makes that obvious in about two seconds.

This month's practice: finding, moving, and trusting your center. Some lessons you have to feel to understand.

Two weeks have passed since our first Yoga for Men retreat.

Looking back at this table, I see men who arrived as strangers and left having shared something meaningful.

Yoga was the reason we came together. But the real practice was creating space to slow down, to breathe, to move, to laugh, to have honest conversations, and simply to be ourselves.

The feedback has been coming in, and reading it has been deeply moving. It confirmed something I hoped for, but couldn't know in advance: this experience mattered.

Thank you to every man who trusted me enough to be part of it.

I'm already quietly working on the next one.

In two weeks I will welcome fourteen men to Zeeland for the Yoga for Men retreat.

The practical preparations are almost complete. The schedule is ready. The room is booked. The meals are arranged.

What occupies my mind now is something else.

I find myself thinking about the conversations that will happen between classes. The quiet moments. The walks. The space that appears when people step away from their routines for a few days.

A retreat is an opportunity to slow down enough to notice what is usually overlooked.

For now, there is little left to do except prepare, trust the process, and look forward to welcoming everyone in two weeks' time.

Stillness is a skill most men never train.

Most guys are taught to push harder, move faster, stay busy.
But real strength isn’t always loud.

Sometimes it looks like slowing down long enough to hear yourself think.
To breathe deeper.
To loosen the tension you’ve been carrying for years.

Yoga taught me that stillness brings awareness, control, and resilience. And in a world built on constant noise, that might be one of the strongest skills a man can develop.

11 men have now committed to the Yoga for Men weekend in Zeeland.

Different ages.
Different backgrounds.
Different levels of experience.

Same decision:
to step away for three days and work deliberately on themselves through body, breath, and attention.

When I began teaching Yoga for Men, what struck me most was how quickly steady structure changes things.
- Not through intensity.
- Not through emotional pressure.
- But through repetition.
- Through regulated breath under effort.
- Through meeting limits with clarity.

The retreat is simply a deeper immersion into that work.
- From Friday evening grounding,
- to Saturday development and expansion,
- to Sunday integration.

A small group.
Structured.
Focused.

A few places remain.

March is not about pushing harder.
It’s about staying steady under load.

Strength through the legs.
Control through the hips.
Breath that doesn’t break when effort rises.

Organised strength.

Most men focus on what to say.
Few train the system that says it.

Before you enter a room
before a meeting
before you speak to your partner
before you respond under pressure

Your body is already communicating.

Is it tight or steady?
Is your breath shallow or regulated?
Is your mind scattered or clear?

This is the work.
In class we do not chase flexibility.
We train alignment.
We regulate the nervous system.
We build presence from the inside out.

When the system is aligned
words become secondary.

All is Yoga.
