Acne scars: there is no one-size-fits-all treatment.
Successful acne scar treatment starts with a careful assessment of scar morphology. Different scar types—and different depths—require different approaches.
That’s why the best results often come from combining complementary techniques: subcision for tethered scars, TCA CROSS or punch excision for selected deep scars, and treatments such as Genius MRF, fractional lasers and injectables—including PLLA, CaHA or hyaluronic acid—when indicated.
In this treatment, we start with subcision to release deeper tethered scars, followed by Genius MRF for deeper remodelling and Mosaic 3D to address the more superficial scar component and overall skin texture.
At Amelio, we already combine Genius MRF with Ultra laser in our acne scar protocols. Now we’re exploring the combination of Genius with Mosaic 3D, allowing us to work on different components and depths of acne scarring within the same treatment strategy.
Acne scar treatment is a work in progress. It usually takes several sessions, and collagen remodelling continues gradually over the following months.
Scars will never be 100% erased—but with the right combination of techniques, we can often achieve highly satisfying improvement in scar appearance and skin texture.
This is just the beginning of our Genius + Mosaic 3D combination… looking forward to seeing how the results evolve. ✨
