ANNOUNCEMENT LIVE Reading (Sept 10 – 12):

This week I'm going LIVE for an hour each day for 3 days!

Reading you chapters from Taste of Letting Go, the book that came out of my own journey of walking away from the boardroom and finding my way back to peace, one ordinary day at a time.

📅 Sept 10 – 12
🕐 1PM Brussels time / 7PM Malaysia time

Here is what's coming:

🗓️ Sept 10 | Chapter 1, live. We start at the beginning: the leaving.

🗓️ Sept 11 | Something a little different. I'm cooking LIVE together with a real-time cooking show bringing the "kitchen table" part of this book to life in the most literal way. That's the heart of it, and we get to cook it together, live.

🗓️ Sept 12 — Another chapter reading, live. Or maybe another Collab? Tag someone who would want to Collab together.

If this story speaks to you, I'd love your support on Kickstarter, link in bio, every bit helps bring this book fully into the world.

Thank you for your love and support 🙏 💚

See you live starting Thursday!

Kenya… my heart. 🇰🇪🌿

I arrived thinking I was the one giving.

A grandmother in Thika, whose kitchen was separated from her bedroom by a single cardboard box... welcomed us like we were the most important guests she had ever seen.

She sent her grandson to buy milk. She cooked with the food she had planned for the entire week. Just for us.

And then she said something I will never forget.
"Happiness is day by day. As long as I survive these 24 hours, I am happy."

I walked out of that home a different person.

This is Chapter 14 of Taste of Letting Go.

The lesson is HAPPINESS. The recipe that closes it is Mandazi, a simple Kenyan snack shared with chai and conversation. Because the happiest food is often the simplest food.

19 days left on Kickstarter.

It would mean the world to me if you could back this project today. Even the smallest pledge makes a huge difference!

Yesterday I stood on a stage at Flanders Expo in Ghent and cooked Nepalese Tomato Chutney for a room full of strangers.

I talked about impermanence. About Nepal. About what happens when you sit in silence for 10 days and your whole identity quietly dismantles itself.

And then I handed out food. And watched people eat. And felt... for the first time in a long time, completely in the right place.

This is what Taste of Letting Go looks like in real life. Not just a book. A conversation. A kitchen. A shared meal with people you've never met before with a lesson to learn.

The Kickstarter campaign is live and we are 14% funded with 26 days to go.

We need your help to get there...

Let's bring this book into the world together. 🌿

Thank you .be for another excellent year 🙏🌹 and the beautiful team who is super helpful in every ways possible.

In 2017 I packed everything into a backpack and left.

No plan. No destination. No idea who I was without a job title.

Taste of Letting Go is LIVE on Kickstarter today. 💚

34 countries, 34 lessons, 34 World Travel plant-based recipes. From boardroom to kitchen table and everything in between.

This is me as a little girl. With my mum. And my grandma.

Years later, standing alone in the ruins of Chichén Itzá, a white butterfly landed near me.

Whenever I see a white butterfly, it's Grandma - Ah Ma.

I whispered: "Hi Ah Ma. I'm trying. Trying to be brave. Trying to trust life. Trying to become someone new."

She fluttered around me as if answering.

Mexico in 2017. Chapter 3. Butterfly.

This is something I've been working on for 2 years is finally happening.

On Wednesday 20 August, I'm launching my book Taste of Letting Go on Kickstarter : a vegan cookbook and travel memoir across 34 countries.

It would mean the world to me if you could back it on launch day. Even the smallest pledge makes a huge difference in the first 24 hours! 🙏

# 27 A moment I almost gave up traveling

I remember my ex boss telling me “You will probably stop traveling when you meet someone” and my immediate response was “DEFINITELY NOT”.

I guess I had no choice but when COVID hit, it hit hard - I didn’t know what to do, where to go, I was literally stuck in Morocco. Through that, I fell in love with my now husband and moved to Belgium.

# 26 - Most unexpected kindness I experienced traveling.

Thika, Kenya. Where this grandma gave away a week’s worth of food/drinks to welcome guests. They say - Don’t worry about tomorrow, that’s for tomorrow. That kindness of sharing what they have with each other is something you don’t see anymore.

# 25 - The recipe that started it all - Ultimate Banana Cake

192g all purpose flour
3 banana (big and ripe) - mashed
1 tsp vanilla sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
113g cane sugar (you can reduce this if banana is very ripe)
120g oil
20g chocolate sauce (optional)
20g peanut butter (optional)
20g cherry jam (optional)

40-60mins 180°C

# 24 - What I thought success looked like vs what it feels like now

Success then - youngest director, retired by 30 YO.
Success now means to me the ability to be flexible so that you can do what you WANT whenever.

Success is merely something you achieved as a goal, it just feels like a “tick done”.
The feeling of success is very subjective but often being influenced by others.
YOU define your own success, YOU define what your feelings are, be YOU.
