What could be possible today, if you wouldn’t have to prove anything?

Seriously, think of it, what would you have space for in your life if you’d take a break from the “proving” game alltogether?

Instead of pushing yourself to be the perfect ... (fill in the blanks), give yourself a chance to discover who you are beneath all the shoulds.

What would be possible for you if you could interact with others without having to be a certain version of yourself?

Feel free to DM or share in the comments what would be possible if you could give yourself the space to just be you.

I’m all ears.

Much love,
Elke

May you always find your way back to yourself, no matter how many times you’ve disconnected.

That’s my wish for you.

Check my little carrousel for some heartfelt questions to help you reconnect to yourself.

What could be possible if you’d take the time to really listen to what you have to say?

I’ve recorded a morning and evening meditation to help you nourish this skill, click the link in bio and they’re yours to try.

Wishing you a week filled with reconnection to you 💜.

Much love,
Elke

Do you feel more comfortable to give than to receive?

Do you find it difficult to ask or accept the help of others?

Do you tend to downplay the compliments you receive?

If you’re anything like me, I’m sure you answered at least two of these questions with a yes.

Many of us have a history of being more other-focused than self-focused. We’ve learned to put others’ needs before our own, causing us to have lost touch with what we would genuinly want for ourselves.

Sadly, when we’re not connected to our own needs and desires, whatever someone gives us, whether that be love, compliments, support or help, can soon be gone with the wind.
Because It simply doesn’t have a place to land.

To be able to receive we can learn to:

🧡 be anchored within ourselves.

🧡lean into the discomfort of not being the one who gives.

🧡 notice when we are silencing our needs in service of another.

🧡 realize we’re just as worthy of help and praise as the people we care about.

💫 Here’s to granting yourself the same generosity that you so freely put out into the world.

Double tap if this resonates and share with someone who’s got a big generous heart just like you.

Much love,
Elke

There’s something really “unloving” about forcing yourself to grow. Read on to find out why.

Hello dear one,

It’s so important to be on our healing journeys for the right reasons.

I can tell you this: everything I’ve tried in service of “fixing myself” always left me feeling more broken. Even the best of tools won’t provide us with what we’re searching for, if we are using them for the wrong reasons.

The thing is, our healing journeys become tainted the minute we force ourselves to change because we believe we wouldn’t be worthy otherwise.

It’s the subtle aggression of self-improvement, combined with a history of believing we’re not good enough that makes us do this.

If we want to grow from a place of love rather than a place of not-enoughness, it’s important to stop pushing ourselves to be stronger, better, and more confident than we currently are.

We don’t need fixing, because we weren’t broken to begin with.

Allow your growth to be about befriending who you are already.

Allow it to be about learning to feel safer in your own skin, so that you can reconnect with your heart and build the trust you need to live a life that’s truly yours.

I’d love to hear how this lands for you.

Love, Elke

Have you ever found yourself trapped in an endless loop of information gathering?

I certainly have.

When we’re hurting and in need of solutions we have this deeply ingrained tendency to look for answers outside of ourselves. Not surprising, if you consider that most of us have been conditioned to do so.

And so we read another article, save another quote, and try another technique - only to find out that we‘re still not loving ourselves more.

So what are we missing here?

➡️ Just reading about self-love won’t help you love yourself more (no 🧠brainer).

💕There’s no quick fixes and lot’s of distractions on the road to greater self-love. It’s a continuous process of getting honest with yourself and seeing whether what you’re doing is honouring or harming yourself.

💕Don’t get me wrong here, getting inspired by content and techniques is great, but not if it prevents you from learning to trust yourself.

💕Next time you feel pulled to look for answers outside of yourself, pause, drop anchor, and be with yourself, no searching, no fixing, just meeting yourself where you are.

➡️ You are your own best guide through the jungle. Give yourself a chance to prove you are.

Befriending yourself will require you to listen deeply and answer questions like "what do I really need right now?".

But let me ask you this:
what if you have no clue at all about what you need? What if being unable to answer this well-intended question makes you feel even more inadequate? How do you treat yourself when faced with uncertainty?

In my old-time favorite passages from Letters to a Young Poet, Rilke wrote, "I beg you, as much as I can, dear sir, to be patient towards all that is unresolved in your heart and to try to love the questions themselves. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given to you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer".

So, what if allowing yourself to live the questions is way more loving than pushing yourself to answer them?

How would you feel if you could embrace uncertainty whenever it's part of you?

May we all have the wisdom to know when to answer our questions and when to live them.

Let me know if this resonates.

Much love,
Elke
