The end of the year is when most leaders do two things:
- Review what happened
- Plan what’s ahead
But there’s a third step that decides whether 2026 becomes a breakthrough or a repeat.
Audit the person making the decisions.
Because the biggest mistakes of last year weren’t only strategic.
They were pattern-based:
-Saying yes too fast
-Waiting too long to act
-Over-controlling when trust was needed
-Avoiding the hard conversation
-Running on pressure instead of presence
If you don’t name the pattern, you will repeat it, just with a new calendar.
2026 won’t reward leaders who are merely busy.
It will reward leaders who are:
-Clear under pressure
-Adaptable without losing direction
-Sustainable without losing intensity
-Able to act decisively without forcing outcomes
In other words: Leaders who know themselves really well.
So before you set goals, answer this:
What situations reliably pull me into reactive mode?
What do I overuse when I feel uncertain?
What is my default blind spot when stakes are high?
What would change if I led from clarity instead of urgency?
If you can’t answer those with confidence, your plan is incomplete.
Start here. We built a free Self-Discovery Assessment to give you a clear snapshot of:
-Your leadership patterns under pressure
-Your blind spots (the ones you can’t see alone)
-Your natural strengths and how to use them in 2026
It's free, only takes a few minutes and it gives instant results.
If you don’t want to repeat last year's mistakes, don’t just plan differently. Lead differently.
