A successful first Lipografter case at Groupe hospitalier CHIREC Brussels with Dr. Pierre-Emmanuel El Fouly !

Yesterday, Kelly Nelissen - Mertens had the pleasure of supporting Dr. El Fouly and his team during their first Lipografter procedure.

The patient underwent a cosmetic breast augmentation using her own fat harvested from the legs. Despite her very slim body profile, the Lipografter technique enabled the harvesting of a sufficient volume of high-quality fat, demonstrating the efficiency and versatility of the system.

What stood out most? The simplicity of the workflow, the quality of the harvested fat, and the ability to harvest, process, and reinject fat within one closed system.

We are delighted to hear the positive feedback from Dr. El Fouly and the entire surgical team following this first experience with Lipografter.

📍 Last week, the ALEAMED team was at FESSH 2026 in Basel!

Kris Leestmans, Tibo Lalieu, Vicky Roelandt, and Bart De Pooter were proud to represent ALEAMED in Switzerland during this key event in hand surgery. It was a great opportunity to connect with surgeons and partners, exchange ideas, share expertise, and support participants throughout the congress. 🤝
We were also delighted to take part in the KLS Martin Group hands-on workshops focused on fixation procedures for distal radius, scaphoid, and hand fractures.

One of the highlights of the week was the dinner organized at the Pantheon Museum in Muttenz, near Basel. This special evening provided the perfect opportunity to strengthen relationships, share great moments together, and build stronger connections with the team outside the congress setting. ✨

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by to meet the team, we truly enjoyed the inspiring conversations and connections made during the event!

📍 VVOV Day 2 | Closing day in the OR community

Last day at VVOV, wrapped up with a strong mix of talks and workshops around innovation, teamwork, and daily life in the operating room.

From resilience in healthcare to surgical innovation, communication, and OR coordination, the discussions were once again rich and very concrete.

📍 VVOV Day 1 | A full day of exchange in the OR community
Yesterday, our team joined the VVOV congress for a rich day of discussions around operating room practices and specialized care.
It was a great opportunity to connect, share ideas, and present a range of solutions and technologies, including:

Innovation never stops! ✨

Our colleague Kelly Nelissen - Mertens attended her first-ever gluteal implant exchange at Acura Medisch Centrum, a unique opportunity to witness Frank Vanhimbeeck expertise and observe every detail of this delicate procedure.

The patient chose to switch from a 340cc implant to a more suitable 250cc size, perfectly illustrating the importance of personalization in aesthetic surgery.

We are grateful for the trust our surgeons place in us, allowing Aleamed to be on the ground, gain hands-on insight, and support medical teams directly. Experiences like this are invaluable for staying at the forefront of innovation !
