Most people prepare by doing more.
I prepare by slowing down.
By creating space.
Space to listen. Space to feel. Space to notice what is present beneath the noise.
Because the energy we bring into a room speaks long before our words ever do.
And if I want to create a space where women feel safe to soften, to receive, to reconnect with themselves...
then that journey starts with me.
Not with planning. Not with perfecting.
But with coming home to myself first.
The truth is: the depth of the space we can hold for others is often limited by the depth of the space we are willing to create within ourselves.
So before every retreat, every circle, every Re-Balance Day...
I return to nature.
I listen.
I slow down.
And I allow life to show me what wants to emerge.

Rust nemen is niet hetzelfde als tot rust komen.
Je kan een hele dag thuis zijn... zonder ooit echt te zakken.
Omdat je hoofd blijft draaien.
Omdat er altijd wel iets is dat aandacht vraagt.
Omdat je lichaam al zo lang in "doorgaan" staat dat het niet meer weet hoe vertragen voelt.
Dat is waarom ik de Re-Balance dagen heb gecreëerd.
Niet als een dag waarop je nĂłg iets moet doen.
Maar als een plek waar je even mag ontvangen.
Waar je gevoed wordt.
Niet alleen lichamelijk, maar ook mentaal, emotioneel en energetisch.
Een dag waarop je niets hoeft op te lossen.
Maar waarin je met zachtheid mag kijken naar wat je al zo lang draagt.
Want vaak ontstaat innerlijke rust niet doordat we harder proberen ontspannen.
Maar doordat we helder krijgen wat werkelijk van ons is...
en wat we niet langer hoeven mee te dragen.

No constant noise.
Just space to breathe.
To soften.
To reconnect with yourself again.

Sometimes one gentle pause
can change more than endlessly pushing through.

Children don’t only learn from what we tell them.
They learn from the energy we live in every day.

From how we handle stress.
From how we speak to ourselves.
From whether rest feels safe… or something we have to earn.

And honestly?
That realization changed so much for me.

Because so many of us grew up believing that:
pushing through is normal,
being exhausted is normal,
always carrying everything is normal.

But what if the most powerful thing we can teach the next generation…
is that softness is safe too?

That slowing down is healthy.
That boundaries matter.
That selfcare isn’t selfish.
That rest is not weakness.

Children feel our nervous system long before they understand our words.

And maybe healing starts there:
not in becoming perfect,
but in becoming conscious.

Maybe your body isn’t asking for more discipline.

Softness is not weakness.
For an exhausted nervous system…
it’s medicine.

When do you alow yourself some softness?

So many people try to change their lives without ever changing
the energy they live from.
They try harder.
Overthink.
Push more.
But their nervous system stays exhausted.
Their head stays loud.
Their body stays tense.
Real change doesn’t happen when you force yourself into a new reality.
It happens the moment your system finally feels safe enough
to slow down.
Safe enough to breathe.
To soften.
To listen again.
During the last Re-Balance Day, one of the women shared something
that deeply touched me:
“My head is always so loud…
even on vacation, even during a day off.
And for the first time in a long time…
it became quiet.”
Not because someone “fixed” her.
But because she finally gave herself a space
where nothing was expected from her.
And slowly, the energy shifted.
From always-on…
to curiosity.
From tension…
to openness.
From surviving…
to feeling.

Maybe you don’t need to do more.
Maybe you simply need a different space.
A space that allows you to reconnect with yourself again.

I know how busy life can get.
And sometimes we become so used to being “on” all the time…
that we no longer realize how disconnected we’ve become from ourselves.
Always thinking.
Always planning.
Always carrying.
And somewhere along the way,
we start believing that pushing harder is the answer.
But what if real change doesn’t begin in the doing?
What if it begins in your energy?
Because everything changes
the moment your system finally feels safe enough to slow down.
Safe enough to soften.
To breathe.
To feel again.
That’s also why I created the Re-Balance Days.
Not as an escape.
Not as something “extra”.
But as a space where you can step out of survival mode…
and reconnect with yourself again.
A day of yoga, somatic work, nature, softness, stillness and connection.
A day where nothing is expected from you.
