❌ Myth: You always know when you’ve had a bad night’s sleep.
Breathing pauses and brief awakenings during sleep often go unnoticed. Many people with obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA) therefore don’t remember waking up during the night. This means the sleep disorder itself can go unnoticed, while its effects may become apparent during the day — for example, through tiredness, fatigue or difficulty concentrating.
👉 If you regularly wake up feeling unrested despite thinking you’ve had enough sleep, speak to your doctor to explore possible causes.
