How are we looking at 4 months?

This patient presents just 4 months after a 2003 graft frontal restoration.

At this early stage, we can already see the transplanted grafts beginning to establish themselves and the shape of the new hairline becoming increasingly defined.

There is still plenty of development to come. The hair itself requires further maturation, with improvements in calibre, quality and overall density expected as the growth cycle progresses.

At only four months, however, this represents impressive early growth.

Part 1 -

A hair transplant should solve today’s problem without creating tomorrow’s.

After years of researching surgeons, this patient chose Dr. Bisanga for his very first hair transplant.

At 35 years old, with a Norwood 3/4A pattern, the goal wasn’t to create a low, aggressive hairline. Instead, the focus was on restoring a natural, age-appropriate hairline with strong density whilst preserving donor resources for the future.
3,251 grafts were transplanted, with recipient sites created at approximately 60 FU/cm² through the frontal hairline before gradually transitioning into lower densities behind. Careful donor management also meant that one side of the donor area remained completely untouched, preserving options should they ever be needed in the future.

Every decision in a first procedure matters. Hairline design, density, graft distribution and donor management should all work together, not just for the result you see at 12 months, but for the years ahead.

At first glance, the extraction pattern appears random.

It isn’t.

Every graft is deliberately selected to preserve the integrity of the donor area, avoiding any visible depletion whilst maintaining the donor as a long-term resource and in pristine condition.

This case involved 6,582 grafts extracted during a single surgery, performed by Dr. Abby following the Bisanga Protocols.

Once a graft is removed, there are no second chances.

Is it worth it?

At first glance, this level of recession can seem minor. Many people simply accept it as part of getting older, while others wonder whether surgery would make any noticeable difference at all.

This 37-year-old patient decided to restore his temple recession with a conservative, age-appropriate hairline designed to complement his facial features rather than completely change them.

A total of 2,180 grafts were placed by Dr. Bisanga and Dr. Kostis, carefully rebuilding the recessed areas while blending seamlessly into the patient’s existing hair.

These photographs show his progress at 6 months. The improvement is already evident, demonstrating how even relatively subtle recession, when restored thoughtfully, can have a significant impact on overall facial framing.
