You often hear massage therapists say:
“I listen to your body.”
But what does that actually mean?
What does it really look and feel like?
At com’on sense, it’s the foundation.
Because during a treatment, much more is happening than what you can see on the surface.
Symmetrical and asymmetrical.
Playing with pressure and pace.
Active and passive.
Yin and yang.
A hand that doesn’t simply rest, but stays present sensing, responding and connecting.
Playing with the breath inhale and exhale.
Pull, push, release and reconnect.
Following the rhythm of the body rather than imposing one.
Going beyond the surface. Working with depth, without forcing it. Blending into the movement and inviting the body to soften, surrender and sink deeper into the table.
Not just touching the body, but listening and feeling through touch.
That’s what makes the difference.
