JPMC was honoured to welcome Yang Amat Berbahagia Dato’ Seri Dr. Wan Azizah binti Dato’ Dr. Haji Wan Ismail, Spouse of the Prime Minister of Malaysia, accompanied by Yang Mulia Datin Hajah Kalshom binti Haji Suhail, Spouse of the Minister-in-Attendance, and the Malaysian Delegation.

JPMC recently convened a dialogue session with the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Health, and the Manpower and Human Capital Division, in support of strengthening Private Public Partnerships and Collaborations towards realizing Wawasan Brunei 2035.
The session served as a platform to align on shared national priorities, with discussions centering on developing local talent and expanding career opportunities for Bruneians within the healthcare sector.
Present during the discussion was Yang Mulia Dr Haji Azman bin Ahmad, Permanent Secretary (Higher Education), Ministry of Education; Yang Mulia, Awang Haji Adi Ihram bin Dato Paduka Haji Mahmud, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health; Yang Mulia, Salehin Basir, Chief People Officer, JPMC, Senior officials from MOH, MOE, JPMC and Manpower Planning and Human Capital Division.

In conjunction with World IVF Day, JPMC’s Reproductive Medicine Unit organised Hope Beyond the Horizon. The forum welcomed Guest of Honour Dr Muhd Hiza Wardy bin Hj Abdul Halim, Director of General Medical Services, alongside a multidisciplinary panel covering fertility care, embryology, nutrition and counselling.

As Brunei Darussalam’s only provider of IVF services, JPMC continues to be part of the fertility journey for individuals and couples seeking to build their families.

Stress is a natural response to challenging situations and can even help us cope during difficult moments. However, when stress persists for a long time, it can begin to affect both our physical and emotional wellbeing.
Our new Fertility Counselling Services provide a supportive and confidential space for individuals and couples before, during, and after treatment, especially to process complex emotions, strengthen coping, communicate more openly, and navigate the challenges that may arise along the way. Talking to family and friends may help you feel supported, but talking to a trained mental health professional can help you understand what you are feeling, identify what you need and find healthier ways to move forward.
Remember, meeting with our Fertility Counsellor does not mean that something is wrong with you, nor is it a sign of weakness. Seeking support is a sign of strength and self-awareness. The JPMC Scholarship Award Signing Ceremony 2026 marked another milestone as JPMC welcomed five new scholars and awarded scholarships to two staff members in support of developing Brunei Darussalam's future healthcare workforce.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health, in his capacity as Chairman and Executive Director of JPMC, as the Guest of Honour.

The ceremony also celebrated the graduation of our first cohort of scholars, who have successfully completed their studies and are preparing to begin their careers with JPMC.

In her opening address, JPMC People Manager Ms Jang Tracy Ramantan-McGlynn shared, "Every scholar we support represents an investment in the future of healthcare in Brunei Darussalam."

Congratulations to all our scholars! We wish you every success as you embark on this exciting journey.
